Todd's Friday Embarassing Admission...

...or, Todd Attempts to Curry Favor With the Football Gods by Admitting his Moral, Cultural, and Intellectual Flaws in a Very Public Manner.

Last year's results were pretty mixed, but we're keeping this going (by popular demand!) and we'll see how well it goes this time out. So this week I have to own up to the fact that not only are these girly selections on my iPod but that, on more than one occasion, I've heard the opening strains of the following songs and thought (or, worse, said aloud) something to the effect of "aaaaaw hell yeah, that's my JAM!"

Now ridicule away or, even better, share your own in the comments section. If it helps get us a win, it will be worth it.

if i said i couldn’t identify with lisa loeb and patty smythe (not on my ipod, but i’ll damn sure sing along)…but you’re on your own after that.

alright ill own up

Just last weekend i had a friends kid in the car with me, he is 9 (we were playing golf and he wanted to ride back to the house with me) and he turned on the radio and that Jonas Brothers song came on, and I said outload “Oh yeah, this is a good one” before I knew what happend. Sure nuff, he tells his dad exactly what happened and every morning this week I have had that song forwarded to either emial or phone.

I can sing along to, with feeling. The others, I’m afraid you’re on your own… FAIRY!!! Okay, here’s my admission: My karaoke jam (and I’m darn good at it, just ask the hundreds in attendance at the Lido Deck bar aboard the USS Carnival Holiday) is none other than Ms. Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive”. I actually learned the song from Cake, but when you tell the karaoke DJ you want to sing it, you get the Gloria Gaynor background music. There, that should be worth an extra FG or something…

own the Gloria Gaynor version. And the Cake version too. But I actually prefer her version… Maybe that should be my embarrassing admission, though I’m not too embarrassed… I don’t think.

My admission? During my misspent youth I fell down drunk at my company Christmas Party and ruined not only an awesome pair of leather pants, but my chances for a promotion…

I have small admission…
in HS I dressed up as a girl for a Fairy Tale play…
I was the princess from Princess And The Pea, but the joke was that I was a guy in a dress holdin a can of peas…

OK...

I fell down flat on my face at my friend’s wedding, sober, then due to the embarrassment got drunk and fell in the empty beer tub full of ice and water. Should have saved this for LSU or Auburn, but I really want us to win. I’m sure I can remember worse for the later games.
