Your RBR Word of the Day: perfidy
The act of violating faith or allegiance; violation of a promise or vow; faithlessness; treachery.

| Before getting upset over the notion that Franchione's perfidy is now being rewarded with an ESPN radio gig that includes announcing our opener, remember that he'll be stuck in a booth with the walking stain that is Gary Barnett and take comfort in the knowledge that karma is still winning. |

One of your best Todd...
Cost Franphony a lot to let go of the rope. Like the Energizer Bunny – may it keep going and going and going and going…...

I'm so glad the Alabama-Clemson game is on TV...
I do not know how I can sit through a radio being called with Franchione. That voice is just soooooo annoying.

What are they THINKING?
Yesterday I heard that Obama told a group of parents that, rather than requiring folks to speak English, their children should be learning Spanish.
I think that EPSN’s decision to get Coach Fran to call a Bama game indicates that they must use the same public relations firm.

Actually...
Senator Obama said, “I agree that immigrants should learn English.” He did state that we should make sure our kids can speak Spanish, but his major emphasis was on comparing European visitors who are multilingual to American tourists who go to Europe and “all we can say is, ‘Merci, beaucoup.’”
All that being said, I really don’t want to know what any of you think about Obama or McCain. Obviously, it’s vastly more important than what you think about Bama-related issues, but I come to this site to take a break from that kind of thing.
And I just have one message for Fran: Hold this rope, o ye of little spine.

Before I became a college football fan.
How do you give up 77 points with 2 minutes to play in the 3rd quarter? That’s like something I would do against Yale in NCAA 09. Does anyone know the final score of that game?

That caught my eye as well.
I think the final was 77-0, but I didn’t watch the game so I didn’t realize they hit that mark in the THIRD QUARTER. Wow, if they had really went for it they might have cracked 100.

Not fair
teh computer would let Yale score at least a field goal in NCAA…How do you NOT kick a field goal. Having 77 dropped on you is bad enough, but throw into that you get SHUT OUT. Wow.
Roll Tide, Bitches!!!

Should've...
Been the first sign that things just may not be all that good with Fran. I guess the Aggies didn’t see it.

This silver hair troll.....
just really takes my college football wrath to a whole new level. Not because he’s a sniffling little snitch (see Fat Phil) or a finger holding Dumbo (see t tubs), it is simply because he made a fool out of me as a fan who swore I’d never get suckered in by a smooth talking coach. I never bought into Dubacle, or Shula, or (God Forgive me) Coach Stallings, but for some unknown reason I was taken in by the snake oil salesman like Grandama to a telemarketer. Hey Fran, I hope whatever idiot in Bristol hired you told you to just hold the rope, because that face doesn’t translate good to TV and your nasally, whiny voice sure ain’t gonna fly on radio, Good Luck, NOT!

Thought I should add...
I just moved to Kansas and apparently Fran is at a coaching clinic (hee) about an hour north of me right now. I know he’s from Kansas so there’s a bit of homerism there but who invites a coach like that to a clinic?
