Around SBN: Randy Moss A Raven?

Programming Note: Real Life, She Intrudes

We've bitten off way more than we can chew this week at work (plus I had the added bonus of getting home close to ten last night and discovering that my internets are down) so apologies in advance for any lack of posting on my part (word of the day, countdown, etc.). In the meantime, Paul Westerdawg is looking forward to the Bama/UGA game for all the right reasons:

#4 - Sundresses. For my money, the best looking coeds in America live in Athens, Tuscaloosa, or Oxford. I helped move my sister into the freshman dorm at Bama when I was twelve and my jaw was on the floor the entire time. I thought it impossible that so many good looking girls were in the same place at the same time. After my first week in Athens, I realized that not only was it possible, but the rule at UGA. A late September kickoff usually means it's not sweltering, but not cold enough to cover up with a sweater or jacket. In other words, prime sundress weather. I expect a frightening display of talent. Tailgating for this game should test marriages. There'll be a lot of wondering eyes.

God I love the fall...

Sniffle, Sniffle

Ahh, the good ole days. Man do I miss hiking up a skirt to tape some liquor to a girls leg.
Ps. If you like the girl Ace bandage does not hurt them as bad. If you don’t then duct tape away.

Truer words

were never spoken. The flexi-flasks they used to sell at The Corner were magical. Imagine a plastic bag with a water bottle top. Even if you were dateless you could stuff one in your beltline or boot and 98% of the time get in the stadium. It was downhill from there.

last year

My uncles and my dad and I went to this overtime heartbreaker at Bryant-Denny. My cousin was just back from Iraq. I thought we were going to have to tranquilize him, or take him to the hospital.

Never quit. It is the easiest cop-out in the world.

I definitely enjoy...

looking at the Southern girls at football games than the girls I’ve seen at all of the Pac-10 games that I’ve been to.

Colors

Get a Georgia girl at a Bama game and all they’ll do is wonder in amazement why the Bama girls aren’t wearing Crimson and White.

Of course, we could care less.

Best of both worlds

I attended UGA as an undergrad and ‘Bama for grad school. I walked to class every day triple legged.

Why, oh why, did I ever get married. Got-dam-it!

Im really not trying to be an ass

but in the past three years of student sectioning, I have noticed that girls who wear sundresses usually don’t know what the hell is happening on the field, only cheer when the crowd cheers and leave as soon as their dates will let them.

Give me a girl that paints, wears a jersey or a tshirt and gets into it, yells at the coach for not running play action on 2nd and short, and doesn’t want to leave the stadium until the band stops playing.

Cause bama's pluck and gritt has writ her name in crimson flame.

THANK YOU!

I’m glad somebody’s on board with this mentality besides me.

I’ve hit the point where I could give a shit whether a girl is into football or not, my only requirement is that she not give a shit that I’m into it.

You don't think...

...it’s much more fun if the girl you’re with is into the game? It would be hard for me to date someone not into football. Many have not been into BAMA football, though, until they met me. Then they either had to get with the program or hit the road. I am definitely that girl pluckandgritt likes.

I've dated...

...women that hated my love of football…I mean really despised football. I don’t expect anyone to love it like I do, that’s not fair to ask. I genuinely just want someone to not care that I’m into it. They don’t have to like it, don’t have to go to the games, don’t have to watch it on TV, etc. Just don’t be bothered by my love of it and understand that for 14 or so Saturdays a year, that’s going to be ALL that I do. 14 out of 365 isn’t asking a lot.

by Nico2.0 on Aug 8, 2008 8:01 AM CDT up reply actions

Not too much to ask...

...but hey, you’re preaching to the choir here. Never understood women jealous of guys and their sports, especially football. If they only knew how much fun it is to join it rather than fight it!
