Somehow on this super slow and glorious day I have wondered around the depths of SB Nation and read many colums on this game this weekend. From Why The Trojans are unstopable to Why OSU will upset them.
these are 2 great takes on the game this weekend.
Im going to have to go with the boys from Rivalrysq on this one. Lets be honest, USC does NOT loose out of conference very often and esp not this early in the season. Yes, OSU is "hurt, and beat up and has had a slow start to the year". You really think Pete Carroll is really going to let his players beleive and by into this fullishness? No would be the correct answer. Not only does USC have at least 4 running backs to run the ball, they have depth all around. Pete Carroll is almost as good of a recruiter as Saban, if not equal (too close to call really). Pete has Freshmen that could start any were else in the country sitting 2 and 3 string on his team. Freshmen or not, they can play. Alabama proved against Clemson that it does not matter how "old" they are, if they can play they can play.
I dont forsee an upset, but I do expect OSU to be in the game and a close one at that. The Fact that OSU has struggled and had injuries is something that would concern me if I were a Buckhead. They have not played well 1 time this year, and now you are expecting them to go to LA and knock off the best team of the last 10 years? Na, sorry guys, its not in the cards for you.
Too many times OSU has had its chance to prove it belongs, here is to the last, becuase after this and the 2 NC games, there is not much else to prove.
