The CSS Coverage of Bama/WKU
Before I complain, I'll admit that it's my fault for living in California, but I don't know if I can watch another Bama game on CSS without losing my head. Is there a reason the picture quality resembles something from 1978? Why is the grass mustard yellow and the crimson in Bama's jerseys a bright red. Some of the shots look orange.
It looks like a high school game on public access. Is it too much to ask for CSS to buy some new cameras? In this day and age, how hard is it to improve picture quality? We have video cameras in our cell phones that record better than this. I feel like I'm watching a John Holmes movie on an 8mm projector in my dad's basement.
Otherwise, Roll Tide, Roll!
FanPosts are just that; posts created by the fans. They are in no way indicative of the opinions of SBN and the authors of Roll Bama Roll.

I don't mean
to sound like a malcontent, but it’s really pathetic that a cable station in the year 2008 could film something in such crappy quality. Jefferson-Pilot was better.
I prefer to watch replay
The local station out of Tuscaloosa replays all the games on Monday, I watched Auburn/Miss. State and listened to Eliy on the radio.
Glad
I am not the only one who thought the picture was horrible. Though I am glad I was atleast able to see the game. I figure that CSS could spring for something from walmart rather than use this…
Can we complain?
Does anyone know if there’s an outlet for us to complain via the CSS website? If so, let’s make sure to do so. Last week, I told myself the Tulane game was the last one I pay for, given the poor quality…absolutely pathetic!

the picture was awful
but the audio….. at times i wanted to smash my fucking remote, all you could hear was hissing and the faint sound of people talking, then the producers would throw on some skid row or motley crue as they went to a clip or commercial, and it would be blasting loud….. It woke my fiancee up twice (i had to watch it late at night on my DVR) because of the vast swing in source volume levels….. and yeah my samsung that i paid 1200 bones for has never looked shittier.
the one saving grace, i paid like 9 dollars for the game, cause it’s on gameplan with Direct tv, and if you buy the whole season early it’s 110 dollars total for 14 weeks and this year at least 5 or 6 BAMA games, next week will be the 4th straight week so i figure i’ve already saved money considering what i spend at the sportsbar, though sometimes going to the sportsbar aint so bad…. http://www.tiltedkilt.com/index.html
about the picture
The crew needed to White Balance the cameras. This should be done to every camera before the shoot. (essentially, just zooming in on a white piece of paper, and adjusting the balance settings). I wonder if they had TCF majors running the cameras. I know when i was in school there, we were given opportunities to work games, but it was mostly cable pulling.
As far as the audio goes. I paused the picture on the DVR until in was in sync with Eli on the Radio.
I'm in no condition to drive...wait! I shouldn't listen to myself, I'm drunk.
