College Gameday is in Athens next week

ESPN now shows Alabama vs. Georgia on their schedule for the college football primetime game on Saturday night, next week.

http://sports.espn.go.com/espntv/espnGuide

I'm assuming that puts College Gameday in Athens, is that right?  Granted, I'm sure a loss by either team could change up the schedule for next week, but it seems like a lock if 'bama and Georgia walk away with wins today.

Any thoughts on Alabama being featured on College Gameday (if that's the case) for a second week this early in the season?

**EDIT**

It's official...

Athens

I am not sure if they would go to another SEC campus again, but they might. The only other game they might go to is Penn State vs. Illinois, which is on ABC (affiliated with ESPN).

I was thinking that the Gameday location has been the same as the home site for the ESPN primetime game the whole season.. seems like that’s been true for the past few weeks, but I remembered that the Alabama/Clemson game was on ABC in week one and it was the site of College Gameday. So.. alright then.

And

they were in LA last week for USC-Ohio State game, which was the ABC primtime game.

That said, I think Athens is a lock if both Bama and Georgia win. Two top ten teams, one of which is #3 one of which would probably be #7 or #8 or, at worst, #9.

Yeah

To me it would seem obvious to send Gameday to a top ten SEC matchup. But who knows with ESPN?

yeah..

they’ve already said that they want to go to Athens since they haven’t had game day there in a long time.

Yes

Herbstreit mentioned that he will be in Athens next Saturday morning, during the UGA game. Connect the obvious dots.
