I know I don't look happy...
...but I'm happy. (c) Nick Saban
ok...we won...we dominated and we faced (arguably) the best QB/WR combo we will face all year. this is a good thing...we should dominate from here on out, even against LSU. don't worry bout the kool-aid...in fact, have a sip, a gulp, a chug and enjoy it...us TRUE fans have been waiting a decade for Bama to be this good and yes, we ARE good...really good...
in fact, just wait...with this win and national exposure we will once again have bandwagoners and fair-weather fans come out of the woodworks...let's be patient with 'em...
I'm not too worried about UK because I think we had our big win letdown in the 2nd half of this game...we faced reality and now we don't have to next weekend...
thanks Nick Saban...you're worth it all...
btw, best offensive play-calling (in the 1st half especially) that I've seen in years...McElwain was a brilliant hire...

the first half of this game shows what this team is capable of when hitting on all cylinders – total and complete domination of any opponent. and, of course, the second half of the game shows what is possible as well – inexplicable collapse under the slightest pressure.
the concerns i have for this team at the beginning of the year are the same ones i have now – lack of consistency and lack of depth. these came back to haunt us in the third quarter but the dominant effort of the first half gave us enough cushion that it didn’t matter.
i am nothing but pleased with this victory and i plan to enjoy it to the fullest, but i agree with saban – there is a great deal of work yet to be done. revel in the glory of such a dominant win (i know i shall) but thoughts of an undefeated season and national championship are vastly premature at this point.
we came in underdogs last night and while the blackout was an effort on the part of the dawgs to keep up the intensity, they clearly weren’t prepared for what we gave them on the field from that first kick return. this situation isn’t likely to happen again, people will be PUMPED to play us and the ability to catch folks by surprise from the get-go just went out the window.
losing concentration and the rigours of the second half of the season are HUGE obstacles for us from here on out. we need to get better on special teams and on the deep ball (although JPW looked exponentially better in that respect last night). i’m still sticking to my pre-season take on this team, we are going to have a strong season but NEXT season we are going to be the stuff of nightmares for our foes.

It was priceless...
to see the look on the fans faces in the first quarter. It was like we came into the stands and slapped their momma’s.
I still believe the score should have been 41-17. The kick return was bogus because of the two holds, which clearly should have been called. And the TD pass to Green was a fluke because of the holding on the line.
Good thing we didn’t leave the game up to the refs or we could be GA’s position.

I don't think it's arguable
The hydra-headed beast of Stafford-Moreno-Insert your WR here (Massaquoi, Greene, etc), are the best skills players on our schedule. LSU would get the nod, but the QB’s there are serviceable game managers who aren’t going to wow anyone in particular. Auburn wins a la Orson’s coupon theory. UT is wreck. Snead is good, probably playing the best right now of anyone. But besides Clemson, UGA was the most frightening in terms of sheer skill.
