Nico Johnson Commits to Alabama
Though it comes as no major surprise, Nico Johnson has committed to Alabama over the weekend. Johnson is a 6'3 and 225 pound linebacker prospect out of Andalusia, and is rated a five-star prospect by Scout.com. He had offers from virtually every school in the country, and chose the Tide over the likes of USC, Florida, LSU, Auburn, and others.

I'm surprised he didn't sign with Clemson...
especially since Bowden promised him that on the opponent’s first play of ’09, he would instruct his entire defense to let him make the first tackle. (j/k)
I guess he’d rather be a team player and win games.

I heard
after calling Nick Saban, Tommy Bowden immediately called Nico and told him that same thing

Saban
should figure up what he gets paid to coach one game (the entire week’s preparation), and just charge a consulting fee to any coach who wants to call. He could be a $6,000,000 man!!
