Todd's Friday Embarassing Admission: Week Two

...or, Todd Attempts to Curry Favor With the Football Gods by Admitting his Moral, Cultural, and Intellectual Flaws in a Very Public Manner.

Since week one's admission of dubious (and gay, not that there's anything wrong with that) musical tastes got us a blowout win over a team a lot of people didn't think we could hang with, I decided I'd mine that fertile field again this week. Since it shouldn't take much to get past Tulane, you only get one this week, but it's a doozy. I have, on more than one occasion, completely rawked out in the car to this awful nu metal hit:

Ridicule away or, even better, share your own to help give the Tide a karmic boost tomorrow.

Heh

I have to ashamedly admit going to see Korn on more than one occasion in college. I think its fine for anybody between the ages of 15-22 to listen to that. Once you get past that age, though, it seems ridiculous. For the bands as well. How can people in their late 30’s identify with 15 year olds? You can drive yourself to the Hot Topic at that age, so what do you have to complain about??……..

Well

I don’t have any embarresing Metal admissions but i do have a pop music admission. I bought the Kelly Clarkson “Breakaway” album and can currently sing along with every song with out missing a word…..now thats embarressing!

wow

well mine this week happened this week. I thought it was only the two girls that work for me and myself in the office on tuesday. And i was riding high from watching ut loose and Alabama win over the weekend. So, on my XM radio came the Celin Deon song “my heart will go on”. I sang every last word of that song without hitting a single note, i would say my singing is as good as UT was in the 2nd half monday. Well, after the song was over, i heard a round of applouse. Both girls had people with them and there were people wating in the lobey.

Hell, no! A tie is like kissing your sister!

I'm old enough

to complain that Metallica is considered classic rock now. The Hot Topic remark was priceless!

My embarrasing admission shall wait until the week of Georgia.

I must admit..

as an old guy, I think Linkin Park is GREAT. There I’ve said it, I LIKE LINKIN PARKKKKKK!!!!!!!

Really?

I like Linkin Park. The Numb Encore Mix is the best. Them and Jay-Z…then again I listen to all kinds of music and work in the music industry.

Sure I'd like to beat Notre Dame, don't get me wrong. But nothing matters more than beating that cow college on the other side of the state.

Nü-Metal

Since we’re going with Nü-Metal admissions this week….

I think I have every P.O.D. album except for the first two. And I’ve seen them live 2-3 times.

by Nico2.0 on Sep 5, 2008 12:29 PM CDT reply actions

To Be Crass

I heard a stagehand call P.O. D. Pussies On Dope once, and its stuck with me ever since.

by Bobby Briggs on Sep 5, 2008 1:17 PM CDT up reply actions

That was truly horrible

Here goes… I can sing along to the Buffy the Vampire Slayer musical episode. I know the words backwards and forwards.

If it were up to me, I'd blitz on offense too.

Better get a bucket...

…‘cause you guys are gonna make me puke. If you don’t mind, I’ll save my own karmic boost for a more important weekend.

Geez, if you people will admit this stuff just for Tulane, I’m terrified to see what you pull out of the hat for LSU or the boogs.

by Bobby Briggs on Sep 5, 2008 2:58 PM CDT up reply actions

here it goes!

i will do anything to help bama win even if it makes me look like a complete idiot, and so even though i am a rocker to the bone i occasionally catch myself singing along with carrie underwood (sobs and weeps in humiliation) man im glad i got that off my chest!!!

by cmyster94 on Sep 5, 2008 1:19 PM CDT reply actions

That's it!

That’s all I can take. I’m not coming back to this site, not for a long time…like thirty minutes or something.

by NiceLittleSaturday on Sep 5, 2008 1:28 PM CDT reply actions

Continuing with the Linkin Park theme...

I have “Shadow of the Day” favorited on my XM radio and I sing along every time it comes on. I do have a more embarrassing music admission, but that will have to way for Georgia.

by rugman11 on Sep 5, 2008 2:15 PM CDT reply actions

Is it ok to have.....

Metallica, Linkin Park and Foo Fighters mixed in with Mercy Me, Eagles and Carrie Underwood in the same CD holder in my manly truck. I feel weird now.

by jtCRIMSON on Sep 5, 2008 3:38 PM CDT reply actions

My embarrassing admission...

Here goes… my girlfriend not only likes that song, but actually sang along when she played the YouTube.

That alone should get us a win.

And she wants to know when she’s getting her Chick-Fil-A Prize Pack.

WOW

What the hell is going on in this video?!?!?!?! And WHY are you listening to that? hahaha I’m 16 and I would never listen to that crap. Only classic rock for me man.

by Bamabrave4 on Sep 5, 2008 4:31 PM CDT reply actions

At least...

…there’s hope for the future.
