I disagree
I may be one of the few, but I love watching the triple option and a running quarterback.
I'm with you.
College football, college football offensive scheme. Old school.
The most beautiful phrase in the English language: "Touchdown, Alabama!"
The flip side
is that Auburn’s offense is absolutely awful, and S. Miss doesn’t look too bad at all on D. At this point, S. Miss will probably lose, but with the Legend of Terrence Cody, we should be able to rattle their QBs when we play them.
I bleed crimson and white...I puke Vol puke orange. RTR
How weak is the Big 10?
OSU is currently losing to Ohio 14-6 in the third, and Michigan is barely leading Miami (OH).

Ohio State...
…got a gift of a spot on that third down. It’s currently 14-12 Bobcats, and it should probably be 14-9.
Ohio State...
…just got another gift.
They’ll get a third gift if this call isn’t overturned. No way that guy had control of that ball by the time he was out of bounds.
another gift
An Ohio DL was just tackled by an OSU OL, … I man TACKLED and then sat on. And, no flag.

If Georgia got dropped....
…for their performance against Ga Southern, tOSU should dang well get dropped for trailing for much of the game.
IF...
Ohio could have caught the ball a little better, it may have been a different outcome…but that’s a big IF.

Auburn sucks...
if our O-Line holds and our WRs catch, they goin get DUSTED. OFF.

GT/BC
GT gets a good spot on a 4th down run. The top 4 ACC teams from a year ago all have losses and it’s not even 2:30 in Week 2. How the mighty(?) have fallen.
next week...
GT vs. VT…
final score = 3-2
or if you read gump4heisman.com, 14-9…
RBR's KING of HIP-HOP...
Hee!
Even God is pissing on the Auburn offense.
True, but...
… they always look good August through December.

Davis and Spiller...
Thus far, Davis and Spiller have 13 carries for 124 yards and a touchdown. You cannot help but wonder if they are just a couple of guys who can consistently rack up tons of yards against subpar defenses, which which the ACC gives them plenty of.

Washington...
Washington is showing life for the first time in the better part of the decade, and they lead BYU 14-7 mid-way through the second quarter. I know it’s BYU, but they are ranked, and it would have to be considered a big upset.

Jevan Snead...
Snead just lit up the Wake Forest secondary, marching the Rebels down to the field to tie the game at 7-7. I think they started at their own six, and he led them the entire way.

Dumb penalties...
Both Ole Miss and Wake are killing themselves with dumb penalties. In the aforementioned drive, Wake had Ole Miss stopped inside their own ten, but extended the drive with a personal foul on third down. And now Wake just stalls deep in their own territory, and Ole Miss gives them new life with a roughing the punter penalty.

How terrible?
How terrible can the Weis offenses be? I swear, that man is making Shula look like Bill Walsh.
For the most part, they look every bit as bad as last year, and I don’t think he can survive another season like that one.

Skip Holtz will be the head football coach at Notre Dame...
…within five years. Maybe two. I’d all but guarantee it.

Lots of good games right now...
Washington and BYU are tied 21-21. Any chance BYU has of a BCS game will end today with a loss.
East Carolina is making a legitimate BCS bid of their own. After beating Virginia Tech last week, they now lead West Virginia 7-0 near halftime.
Penn State is absolutely annihilating Oregon State. I know the Beavers aren’t that great, but with as bad as Michigan and others have looked, I think you might have to consider Penn State a legitimate Big Ten contender alongside Ohio State.
Don’t look now, but Cincinnati is making life tough for Oklahoma. It’s going to halftime with the Sooners up 21-13, so they aren’t exactly rolling over and playing dead.

Wild Rebel?
What’s up with this “Wild Rebel” formation? I am so sick of all of these wild whatever offenses every time someone puts in a RB to take the snap. Can we be more creative, please?
BamaFrazier
Yeah
And everyone was expecting this to be a boring weekend! I don’t think there will be too many of those anymore.
BamaFrazier
sdsu...
is definitely my favorite team of the day so far, if they can hang on and beat the leprechaun’s, 30 minutes till game time rtr….
It's all about the process....
REALLY bad calls
That call in the Washington game was just completely wrong. The rule forbids “Throwing the ball HIGH…. The qback just tossed it over his shoulder at shoulder level. The idiot ref said he "had no choice—it wasn’t a judgment call. " WRONG x 2. First of all, it IS a judgment call. "High” is a judgment. If it were not, the rule would read “over 12’ high” or “over 15’ high.” “High” is a judgment. Secondly, NO ONE would think that tossing a ball at shoulder level was throwing it “high.” That was a horrible call that caused the losing team to win. Great job, MORON REF. I am not a fan of either team—Bama is my team. But I hate incompetence. And this was rank incompetence.

Texas-UTEP
UTEP went from down by 14 to down by 29 in a few minutes.
Oh yeah, is it just me or does Will Muschamp just seem like he needs to be kicked in the nuts?
