tOSU?

Why only a 4 point drop for tOSU? They were losing in the 4th quarter to Ohio… I’d also only drop Bama by 6. Not sure I’d say that Wake Forest is a better team than Bama. Other than that poll looks fairly spot on.

I gotta disagree on

East Carolina. After the two wins they have had they should probably be in the top ten. They looked really good against non-cupcake competition, which is more than several teams can say right now. They probably aren’t a top ten team at the end of the year, but right now, after the two victories they got, I think they earned it.

I like

Florida #1. Can’t see Vandy being top 25. If played today I think Bama would beat Wake, Utah, Texas Tech- so I’d rank us ahead of those 3, but we are not right now #11. I agree that East Carolina looks mighty good right now. Don’t they play Tulane Sat? That will be interesting.

Dont expect Holtz to be at Tulane next season

Some big school will eat him up after this season

Hell, no! A tie is like kissing your sister!

-7

I don’t think we should drop that much just because of one close game. Really it was just circumstances due to two starters injured from our o-line, and we just didn’t really play with much passion. I think both will be back next game and we will be back to pushing other teams around.

Cause bama's pluck and gritt has writ her name in crimson flame.

Tulane

is a good team and that conference is very underrated

What?

There is no evidence that Tulane is a good team, other than this one game.

Tulane’s record:
2007 4-8
2006 4-8
2005 2-9
2004 5-6
2003 5-7

I am not picking on anyone, but it is alway a peeve of mine when Alabama struggles to beat a team or loses to a mediocre team, and people try and pretend that team is better than it actually is. There is no evidence that Tulane is even a mediocre team. Alabama played a poor game, and they are going to have to improve if this teams expects to do anything. The sky is not falling, but let’s not sugarcoat what this game was.

tulane sucks

and bama was overranked. 19 is a much more accurate ranking.

the only decent player tulane had last year was the one running circles around the colts defense last night.

Alabama in AP poll Top 10 next week?? .....

This weekend (5)Ohio St. and (1)USC play so we may move into the top 10 if we win.
Other possible upsets this weekend that could move us up…
(2)Georgia vs. South Carolina…(I have an insane gut feeling about SC this week)
(8)Texas vs. Arkansas…(maybe)
(9)Auburn vs. Miss St….(maybe)
(10)Wisconsin vs. (21)Fresno St…..(I smell upset)

by BAMA.13 on Sep 8, 2008 10:22 AM CDT reply actions

I doubt it

The games you point out are not likely to generate losses

South Carolina is collapsing on both sides of the ball this year.
Arkansas is really bad right now
Miss St has looked awful this season
Wisconsin should hammer the hell out of Fresno (if they play like they did on Sat anyway)

Besides, I’m not sure Bama is a top 10 team at the moment, we’ll see which Bama shows up this weekend.

we will know

how good of a team we are on Sept 27
