"For the first time since the 2003 season, the University of Alabama men’s basketball team will start the Southeastern Conference season with its head above water.
The Crimson Tide snapped a streak of five straight losses in SEC openers on Sunday, holding off LSU for a 65-59 win. The victory also put Alabama (11-4, 1-0 SEC) above .500 in league play for the first time since the middle of the 2007 season."

Hey Todd
if you watched Bama today you saw that we have one guy, Hillman, that is fun to watch. I think we can have a 500 league year or better and I’ll watch to see Hillman as long as we are doing ok. Can you imagine what Hillman could do on the football field at WR or Safety?

I didn't watch the game...
…in fact, after watching the team wet it’s collective pants against Texas A&M, I’m pretty well resolved not to watch Alabama play basketball again this season.

And Clemson
we had them then didn’t score for 85 minutes straight.
What Would Don Draper Do?

Fair enough
we are not a great team, but Hillman really looked good today. I guess I’m kinda crazy but I like all things Alabama and I was glad to see us beat LSU.
But hey, I watched every minute of football during Dubose’s last year – the absolute low point for the Tide. I even stayed the entire Iron Bowl that season (2000 and we were 3-8) when it was sleeting and as cold as I’ve been in my life and I knew we had no chance and my friends wanted to leave because we had to drive 400 miles straight through the night to get home. But hey I had to stay to the end because it was Alabama.

OH, bad memory on a COLD morning!
I was there and named it “the game of not enough liquor.” There just wasn’t enough to forget OR get warm! I was even there with an AU grad…..luckily (for the grad) was compassionate and QUIET. VERY low point…..but I did stay until the end. =(

Mark G
may very well benefit from the SEC being rather bad this year. The last thing Finebaum needs is ’Bama making the NCAA tournament.

Boycotting basketball...
I’ve been doing this since we lost to Auburn last season at home. I refuse to use up my free students tickets to watch an incomptent coach with a talented team. Gottfried is the Shula of Alabama basketball.
I’ll probably watch them on TV if we do get better this season, but I will not be happy completely until we get a new coach.

Basketball Schedule
Hey,
I wouldn’t mind seeing the football schedule replaced with the basketball one at this point, and particularly have any TV information along with it.

Im boycotting due to the
hideous jerseys!!! I mean really, they are god awful!
When you are an Alabama fan you are expected to hate Auburn, I hate Tennessee because I want to.
