D.J. Fluker Video from al.com
Not a lot of interesting or insightful info here (they want him to play LT, but the position is wide open at the moment), but he does have good taste in sweatshirts.

My favorite
recruit for the 09 season. I think we need to coin a nickname for Big Fluker.
Auburn fans are like slinkys... not really good for anything but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

Awesome
The awesome thing is that his full name is Danny Lee Jesus Fluker. That is an awesome Southern name. RTR!

Does that make him Lord Saban’s son?

Nice
I read on another site “Planet Fluker” I kinda like that. The Legend and The planet could have some pretty epic battles in the Fall.

Oh My
I have been out for a number of weeks on work travel…so my post is late….. and this is my Un-PC comment to this post……
Don’t put him on camera.
I love his stats, numbers and desire, but this is………
Don’t hate me for my thoughts.
Sure I'd like to beat Notre Dame, don't get me wrong. But nothing matters more than beating that cow college on the other side of the state.

That's not an Un-PC comment...
…it’s just wrong. He’s a big kid, but he’s still a kid. As far as your concerns, remember that — once he enrolls — it’s unlikely he will speak on camera again for quite some time. And public speaking/camera readiness is one of many areas that CNS and the University work on with the young men in the program.
In the meantime, let’s cut him some slack.

I understand your thoughts, but...
…I think he was nervous and excited which made him stutter some. He was our first commit for this class and you can tell he loves Alabama. Like Cody, reports are he’s a great kid and he’s been through a lot since his house was destroyed by Katrina. His coach at Foley had this to say:
“The obvious reason is that he’s the size he is,” said Todd Watson, Fluker’s coach at Foley High. “But in addition to that, he’s such a good kid. People gravitate to him — students, teachers, even administrators, they all love him.”
Good article from last summer which also mentioned:
“He’ll qualify academically,” Watson said. “Despite everything he’s gone through, he’s a hard worker.”

![According to the AJC Recruiting Blog, "dual-threat" QB Blake Sims has receiver an offer from Alabama:
"My family is trying to work out plans where we can go to Alabama on Saturday to meet with [Nick Saban] in person," Sims said. "It feels great that they wants me. Alabama is a great school, it’s close to home, and they almost made it to the national championship game last year."
Michigan, West Virginia, and UGA are reportedly his top three at the moment.](http://cdn2.sbnation.com/fan_shot_images/40705/default_small.jpg)
