Final Rivals 100 Released
The final Rivals 100 has been released, and Alabama is very well represented. Nico Johnson got his fifth star, and D.J. Fluker surged all the way up to the #3 overall player in the country, while Trent Richardson moved up slightly as well.
At this point, it's a given that Alabama will get at least four five-star prospects this year, and with Rueben Randle, Janzen Jackson, and Bobby Massie still on the board, that number could go as high as seven. At the very least, this will be a top three recruiting class, and we still have an outside chance at the top class in the country.

fluker is a monster
who are we gonna let go to get our numbers correct?
What up with Smelly – any additional reasons or verification?

We lose
11. Two will back count. Two walkons lose there schollys. If Grant transfers that will open up 16 spots. I think we sign 28 with maybe 24-25 actually making it on possibly less. So we need 8 at the most that transfer/quit. Should be an interesting to see this work out.

I don't want...
…to read speculation about who may leave, for the sake of the players and their families. We’ll know soon enough.

agreed
Shouldn’t have put Grants name unless it becomes official.

Not
that I would blame him at all though.

Does anyone
think we have a legitimate shot at Janzen Jackson???
ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!!
Yes...
We certainly have a legitimate shot at Jackson, but admittedly it is a very small one. It might be slightly higher than Florida or LSU’s chances of flipping Richardson, but it’s still very small.
The best odds of him reneging on LSU is by going to Tennessee, assuming they hire his father as an assistant coach.

Russell Shepard
All the LSU people are hootin’ and hollerin’ over this guy who I’ve heard touted as the “#1 prospect in the nation”. I see Rivals has him as #7. What are the most reliable scouting agencies in your opinion? There is also the possibility that everybody has Shepard around the 7 spot and I just hang out with a bunch of delusional dummies.
He's the #1 dual-threat QB...
…according to Rivals, but not #1overall.

That is amazing...
That we could feasibly have 4 or the top 11. (w/ Randall being the trump card)
Also, I’ve heard throughout the season (or maybe I jumped to the wrong conclusions) that Dre was more than likely coming to Bama, however it seems that 7-8 other programs have just as good of a chance as we do of getting his services. Does anyone know whether or not we have a better chance than most, or are we just in the mix like everyone else?

Obviously...
…nobody knows for sure, but only one school allows him to stay close to home (which he has good reason to want to do), play for an elite program that is increasing in strength, utilize some of the finest facilities in the country, receive massive fan support in one of the largest stadiums (which may also increase before he leaves), and get tutored daily by one of the best coaches in America whose specialty happens to focus on the position he plays. Those are some of the reasons that most ‘experts’ are guessing (which is all they can do) that he may end up at Bama.

You should join Bama’s recruiting staff!
When you are an Alabama fan you are expected to hate Auburn, I hate Tennessee because I want to.
Signing Day.
can not come soon enough.
