...or Lane Kiffin is totally throwing gasoline on this rivalry
al.com is reporting that outside linebackers coach Lance Thompson has been hired at Tennessee. I'm not sure how much of an impact this will have on the defense; he is a position coach after all and everyone knows who is running the show on that side of the ball anyway. But he is a top notch recruiter (McCarron, Richardson, and Fluker are all his) joining a rival staff that already has Ed Orgeron. I'm not overly concerned about him flipping any current Tide commits, but with Kevin Steele gone to Clemson that leaves two spots open on the staff that were previously occupied by outstanding recruiters. Next recruiting season should be very interesting.

This is a real post and not a fan post, although technically ots beat you with a fanpost up first.
GAAAH!
I was so disturbed by the news that I forgot my self imposed ban on real story posts! Today sucks.
That is dirty
and I know its business but Lance Thompson should be punched in the throat, along with Kiffin. Leaving is one thing, but leaving so close to signing day is low.
I will say this, how does he go into a recruits home, like Fluker or Richardson, the next day after selling them on Bama for two years, and tell them how much better Tennessee is? Sounds like it would come across as sleazy.
