Stafford, Moreno to enter NFL draft

According to UGAsports.com, it appears that Mathew Stafford and Knowshon Moreno are making the early jump to the NFL.

Here are some quotes from the article:

"It appears as if Georgia quarterback Matthew Stafford and running back Knowshon Moreno have played their last games with the Bulldogs."

I'm not at all suprised to see Stafford go, he's proven himself as a starter in the toughest league in the country, and most have him as the top QB in the draft this year. But I gotta say, I'm a bit shocked that Moreno, only a Soph. (RS) is making this jump. He only came on the scene towards the end of last season, and didn't exactly live up to the preseason hype (Heisman talk). He had a solid year no doubt, but this makes as much sense to me as Glenn Coffee turning pro. Both had solid years, but didn't do enough to warrant an early jump to the NFL.

"If Stafford does elect to come out, most experts say he could go as the No. 1 pick to the Detroit Lions, who finished the season 0-16."

Yikes... is another year in Athens really that bad?

To quote The Big Lebowski,

Sounds like we can close the case on this one. (And the Creedence)

What do the Dawgs have.....

For backups and QB and running back? More so for qb, because of the GA games that I watched, I didn’t see a backup in there at all. Gonna be hard for Green to pile up recieving numbers with no one that can throw the ball to him.

Well, are you gonna pull them pistols, or whistle dixie?

Joe Cox will be the starter next year and they do have some good talent at RB. They might not be a NoShow but they are solid guys.

When you are an Alabama fan you are expected to hate Auburn, I hate Tennessee because I want to.

Caleb King

Is a pretty solid RB.

Auburn fans are like slinkys... not really good for anything but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

yeah thats who i was thinking of

They have someone else that i can’t remember. I would rather have two backs who can split time and hits….then one super back that if he went down (looking at you tOSU) your season is shot.

maybe the cardinals

will trade up so we can take him # 1….

(in case you dont know, the AZ cardinals suck at everything, but they excel when it comes to making sucky draft picks….example thomas jones > shaun alexander)

too bad

for UGA that is. with an improved defense next year, they probably could win a title if those two came back. this year’s UGA team reminds me of last year’s Florida team. one year away

Nah-

They’d still have to play us next season.

I think Knoshown will succeed in the NFL and that Stafford will be a bust. That’s my prediction and I’m sticking to it.

We will...

…not play UGA next year, so I am not caring.
