Half Shell Entertainment, a production company that develops movies for HBO, has optioned the rights to Birmingham native Warren St. John's 2004 book "Rammer Jammer Yellow Hammer," St. John said today.
The production company has the rights to develop the book into a screenplay.

Hopefully St. John will have a lot of input into the screenplay. I'd hate to see this turn into a "Alabama rednecks is stoopid" kind of thing.

Casting
I’d love to see who they cast as:
— The eccentric developer from Mobile that has to be home within 1 hour of the final gun.
— The Bices, the family that accepts cleaning up copius amounts of cat crap and vomit as part of going to Bama games.
— The guy that bought a $1.4M RV when he thought he was about to die from cancer, only to recover.
— John Ed.
— Paul Finebaum.
