I don't like Tebow

Well the Gators are #1 and I think most people will agree. I'm not so sure they are really the best team as it appears the Big 12 is just not as good as advertised. I think the USC defense could give them fits and I think Utah's quick pass attack would be hard to defend. OU could have won the game if they had played it smart after the 2nd Tebow INT when they tried to run it in. If they had passed to their TE down on the goal line they would have scored. If they scroed then it would have been a different game. The SECCG could have been different if we had not tried to go deep after falling behind in the 4th but instead tried to run Coffee to the left.

But even though UF is # 1 I don't like them and I really don't like Tebow. How does he not get called for  celebration with some of the on field things he does after a run or TD etc?  And, then even late in the game he is taunting the OU players doing the chomp etc. To me that shows no class. But is the same stuff he has been pulling for 3 years and everybody just gives him a pass. Remember the phone thing at LSU last year--and nothing. JPW does a lot less and we get 15 yards.

But it seems Tebow can do no wrong. And I am tired of these stories about how Tebow has done this or done that. To me half of what he has done has been to play to the press to hype him or UF. I'm sorry I do not see any humility in Tebow. I hope he does return, and I hope we get him one more time in the SECCG. I honestly think he can be stoped and I think we can stop him. I'd love to see him crying after the game too.

now that i read it...

Totally agree..but i don’t want him coming back. I cant take another year of announcers slobbering all over him..3 years is more than enough. Its time for him to move on and get schooled in the NFL…

My wife

is an Alabama fan not really a football fan. In other words unless its ALA she not watching. Last night we were watching the game. and about half way through the 3rd quarter she could not take it anymore and Said “Jeez are the announcers gay for this guy or what.. I can’t take it anymore. This is annoying. tebow tebow tebow.” I just started laughing and said baby they are. I honestly have never heard one persons name spoken in one game in my entire life. I keep waiting for the camera to pan to the announcers and catch one rubbing one out to a still framed tebow.

Auburn fans are like slinkys... not really good for anything but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

Tim needs to

Seriously, Tim, you’ve done everything you can do in college. Go on to the NFL now.

Disagree

I am not trying to pick on anyone, but this is stupid. I understand that slobbering for Tebow can be nauseating, but that does not make him any less of a person. He is a great player who genuinely cares about other people.

As far as him going pro, I too am for that.

he is a top notch competitor, and I wish Wilson would have shown the passion he did in the SECCG. Don’t hate on Tebow; he is a great kid. Hate all the man crush’s that the media and announcers have on him.

The

celebration things that he does has been discussed. The leading the band thing or whatever… basically they can’t penalize him for stuff like that because he’s off the field when he does it and in a designated area still considered part of the team’s sideline area. Its the same thing as if a player on the bench stands up and waves his towel to get people pumped up.

For me..

I think my outright skepticism prevents me from liking someone who is fawned over and stroked so hard by the media. It may not be his fault, but he sure don’t help the situation by feigning bashful. I am sure he was genuinely upset about the Ole Miss thing, but his reaction was a little over the top on dramatics, and eaten up like candy by the media, who probably wanted to see him eat his words, just for the story.

I get it if he did that to the team…showing emotion like that as a leader can be effective. Going infront of the media was stupid. It looked like to me that he was worried about how the fans would react. Just play football Tim and let the PR department handle the fans.

It’s no wonder the media has a (Tim) Tebow-ner! Heck, half the nation has one. And it’s HARD!

I don’t necessarily “dislike” T-T, gotta respect the hell outta that young man. He’s accomplished a lot. Now Urban Meyer (and Randy Shannon, for that matter). . . . ? Those are some coaches that make it easy to “hate” on them- therefore making it easy to hate on their respective teams.

Well, you see. . . .

. . . . I tried marketing and branding my own homebrew. Yah. Some friends “tested” it way back when, and said it was real real good. So anyways, after about two of them- things seem fine and all. But when you try to stand up to go “bust a gypsy” (go to the men’s room, it’s what we say out here in LA)- anyone: doesn’t matter how big you are or how much you can drank- you stumble and fall face-first to the ground. So I’m calling it. . . . . . “The ColdCock” !!! (at any rate, it’s not been goin’ real good, for all intents and purposes. not too many “repeat customers” or “repeat orders” ????

So there’s been that and. . . .Oh! I’m still recovering from New Year’s Eve. Yah, I was having a great time- went to go see the (not kidding you with this, and it just seems to fit this comment too. go figure?) The Gypsy Kings (ta-da! and believe it or not, I didn’t even try? ‘cause it’s true. I did go see them)

They were ROCKING! (so were the ladies. . . .I was with a smokin’ hot one though too!). And, after about like, 20 minutes standing at the bar WAITING for the lardass bartender to even look my way- he comes up to me and says, “Hey buddy, how’s it goin’? Haven’t seen you in awhile, what can I get you?” (first of all, I never met the shortd_ck. secondly, I was pissed AND thirsty AND I wanted to kick this f_cker’s ass making me wait for so long – I also notice this illegal’s got a wedding ring. We’re speaking in Spanish by the way- the place is called “The Conga Room”). So I says to the duncebucket, “Not bad, not bad. How’s your wife AND MY KIDS? I’ll take a Cosmo and a double Scotch no ice!” He says, “What did you say?” I say, “Cosmo and double Scotch.” He says, “No, the other thing.” I say, “HOW’S YOUR WIFE AND MY KIDS?”

I (we) got bounced out. No matter. It was almost 1:30 AM and I got in two good punches. (on the other bartender though. that m-fer was tiny, and quick)

So, in a nutshell. I’ve been kinda laying low. And you?

Can't deny his effect on popular Americana

He is one of my dad’s favorites. I’m afraid Ol’ Blue Eyes is too hipster-happy for me. I can sing or whistle most of his big time tunes- and they’re legion. But I figure I’ll get around to him again when I’m done with my current affinities of musical genres. (when I can reminisce about CLEANING THE HOUSE ON SUNDAYS – the days when my dad especially played Sinatra. At this point in my life, those days weren’t too fond for me. All’s I wanted to do was get outside to play The Snake in touch football with all my childhood mates)

Tebow

He just loves playing football. Would you rather every player silently walk back to the huddle after making a big play? Part of the excitement of the game is watching the players’ reactions on the field. He DID get penalized for doing the chomp late in the game. It was a deserved 15 yard penalty. It doen’t mean he is a jerk – just that he’s a 21 year old college kid likely retaliating for a lot of trash talking heard during the game about how people are going to stop him. Just read the start of this thread. A lot of teams and players have said they were going to stop him and they mostly have failed.

I personally don’t think he’s going to be a great NFL player, but I really don’t care. Emmitt Smith was a great NFL player and I think he is a jackass. I think Tebow will be drafted, work a few years in the NFL and then do some fine charity work ala Danny Weurffel – another Gator that we are proud of. I also think he is coming back – since all the NFL experts are telling him he’s a 4th round H-back. I think that we will lose Harvin and Spikes and everyone else is coming back.

by skigator93 on Jan 10, 2009 11:35 PM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

He’ll be another Vince Young. Utter failure after a year or two :-D

Oh brother!...
Would you rather every player silently walk back to the huddle after making a big play?

You don’t have to exaggerate! No one expects players to be emotionless robots. The deal with Tebow is that it seems that since he has the rep of being an emotional player, plus not being the thug-type, that he gets away with on-the-field antics that would be deemed unsportsmanlike if it was any other player.

The penalty flags are quick to fly for anything that even resembles excessive celebration or anything considered over-the-top, yet Tebow is allowed to beat his chest, skip all over the field, jump up and down and play to the crowd (ie..drawing attention to himself), and that’s just after ‘routine’ plays, not touchdowns.

This is not sour grapes or jealousy or anything like that. I think he is a phenominal player, and I admire his commitment to his faith, but I’ve always thought his behavior on the field was somewhat jerkish.

by yellowhammer on Jan 11, 2009 5:13 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

^^^ by 'somewhat jerkish..'

Maybe not so much now, but when I played there was an unwritten ‘code’ that everyone just kind of went by and everyone knew when someone crossed the line. It wasn’t necessarily blatant unsportsmanlike conduct like kicking someone (uf player-good to see how the sec office and uf handled that one) but actions and attitudes on the field that made everyone look at each other and say “what’s up with that guy?”

If a defensive player sacked Tebow and then jumped up and started flapping his arms to exhort the crowd while running, skipping, and jumping back to the huddle, not only would everyone think he was the biggest jackass ever, he would be penalized 15 yards, and the TV announcers would go on and on about how that behavior is ‘completely uncalled for’ and how his ‘selfish mistake cost his team’.

The fact that he’s allowed to do it un-penalized, and is actually praised for it by some doesn’t mean it’s ‘less jerkish’. Just my opinion.

*For the ex-athletes out there:

Since some people like to divide classify people ‘those who have played organized sports’ and ‘those who don’t understand’, I am in the ‘played sports’ category. I played organized football, basketball and baseball up until I graduated high school. I was good enough to start in high school, but not quite good enough for the next level.

Tebow

is no Danny Weurfell. Weurfell was and is humble, not Tebow. I actually like DW.

And if Tebow came to Bama and did all the jumping around stuff on the field I would not like him. I guess we have had players do that at Bama, but I can’t remember anyone.

And don’t give me the he is just a kid stuff, he has been in school 3 years and travelled all over the world. This isn’t his first rodeo.

I understand about Tebow coming back. He is all about the attention and he knows he will get more attention being in college. If he could play college ball 5 more years I’m sure he would. When he hits the NFL he will be forgotten.

I don’t understand about Harvin and Spikes coming back. Don’t tell me they just want to get their degree. What could they be possibly be getting to motivate them to turn down millions? Hey, if Andre Smith was coming back I’d be wondering about that as well.

You're Not Alone.

“I hope [Tebow] does return, and I hope we get him one more time in the SECCG. I honestly think he can be stopped and I think we can stop him. I’d love to see him crying after the game too.”

You and everyone on our schedule ever since he stepped on campus. I hope we do meet again in the SECCG, because – while I think he can be contained – I don’t believe he can’t be stopped and you won’t be the ones to do it even if it is possible. Would you hate him if he wore your uniform, as was once possible? Would you hate him if he wasn’t so damn good or if he didn’t lift his team to such great heights? Then again, I don’t think you hate him: you’re just jealous.

well...

i dont hate tebow personally…but the hype generated by the media around him is borderline closet-homosexual stalker-creepy…and annoying.

i dont even like it when people hype up saban…its bad karma…

and in the sec champ game, bama did a pretty damn good job against tebow. he never saw the goal line himself in that game, given the amount of times he tried running it in.

his receivers just had excellent hands and can catch balls at their feet.

and his heavenly “glow” around him had zebras distracted while bama was being held lord only knows how many times…and tebow would NEVER be accused of intentional grounding….how could he??? he is so damn good.

all the hype and trash talk aside, this year the gators were an overall deeper and more skilled team than bama… it was a good seccg that could have gone either way and some points…but take one game changer out of both games in key spots(harvin in the seccg and smith in the sugar bowl) and you can clearly see how the teams adapted.

but the clock is ticking…and this depth issue will be a thing of the past….i want bama to have another shot at tebow next year also.

i hate F^*KING shovel passes….

Next year

I don’t think you really do…..If you noticed our defense this year – it was amazingly better than last season. Last year’s defense was very young and was terrible as a result. This year those freshmen developed as sophomores and were leaps and bounds better. We also added a few of the best freshmen defenders in the country – those guys will be better too. We will likely lose Spikes, but will have most everyone else returning. Our defense is likely going to be better than the one that held OU to 14 points – after they scored 60 points a game down the stretch and set an NCAA scoring record. Those corners and safeties that made big plays were freshmen and sophomores.

You have all already conceded that you aren’t going to totally shut down the Gator offense. So would you be willing to play a shootout with us in the SECCG with a first year QB, RB and rebuilt offensive line going against our defense?

I think you should adapt your statement that you want the Gators in 2010. But by then, Tebow is definitely gone. Ole Miss will be the favorite to win the west next season. We have no shame in losing to them.

given what saban has done this year....

bama’s offense has a question mark on it, but our defense should improve from this year and once the red shirts come off some of this talent on the sidelines, we will just have to see. it would be another great game next year if it comes to pass. although stats and numbers play a big part in determining who should win games…there are intangable aspects that keep the ‘any given saturday’ senario alive.

..and to beat florida next year with tebow would be the best statement any team could make. it can and has been done before.

I think you should adapt your statement that you want the Gators in 2010. But by then, Tebow is definitely gone. Ole Miss will be the favorite to win the west next season. We have no shame in losing to them.

no doubt Bama will be better in 2010. but no shame in losing to Ole Miss? are you kidding me? you guys better and SHOULD beat Ole Miss this upcoming season. especially since it will be a redemption game. Ole Miss is losing Oher and Jerry while you guys will essentially be returning everybody on defense and will have Tebow back as well. if i was Florida, i would be embarrassed to lose to Ole Miss again.

Hindsight..

Of course they have no shame in losing to Ole Miss, it didn’t cost them anything. Not really a profound statement.

by yellowhammer on Jan 11, 2009 10:57 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

I meant this past year, not next

We don’t play Ole Miss unless we both make the SECCG.

I was referring to this past year's loss as well..

That’s why I referred to ‘hindsight’. After lsu won the bcs last year, I’m sure they felt ‘no shame’ in their two losses, either.

by yellowhammer on Jan 12, 2009 9:48 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Don't get me wrong

I was not happy about losing to Ole Miss at home, but I think it’s obvious that game is what paved the way to the title for us. This Florida team lacked focus until it was kicked in the teeth. For some reason, we always seem to have problems with the Mississippi teams. Spurrier had his issues with MSU, Zook lost twice to Ole Miss and was fired after losing to MSU. Now Meyer is 1-1 against Ole Miss.

Wow

I love the certainty some of you have when talking about Florida (and even Bama in a small degree) next year. Are you guys even aware of how you sound?

I hope you Florida fans can realize two things:
1. You are not a part of UF’s team and had absolutely nothing to do with their success, nor will you ever
2. When you make comments about how unstoppable your team is and whatnot, everyone will root against you at all costs and when/if UF does lose or suffer some embarrassment, you are particularly responsible for it for being so damn obnoxious

Yeah, Bamagrad. Florida and "people".

Utah Coach Kyle Whittingham, “I thought we had an outside chance. There was enough national sentiment, I thought we might get the No. 1 slot. It wasn’t to be.”

Notes from reporter Chris Foster in the Los Angeles Times, "A little quick on the concession speech, Kyle? Afterall, this does involve FLORIDA and VOTING.

Nothing is certain

But if the rumors out of Gainesville are true – that Spikes is leaning toward returning….that would mean we return all 11 starters on a defense that allowed 13 points per game. Against 11 bowl teams. What that means is that the offense only has to do so much. And the offense ain’t going to be bad either.

Tim Tebow

I guess I am dissappointed in some the comments I have read. I don’t understand all the hate towards Tebow other than him being an all-world player, and maybe some of us are butt-hurt because he didn’t come here. But the kid is a great guy, and a passionate player. If that was Wilson or Julio doing the same thing, you all would be praising him. I don’t want to play against him anymore, but attacking his personality based on the way he acts in the game DURING A COMPETITION makes me wonder if any of you have ever played sports at the team level? Great players get emotionally involved, and Tebow does just that.

Personally, I would like to know where you guys have seen him act like such a jerk? I see him shaking hands after everygame, speaking politely in post game interviews, and showing general good sportsmanship. Maybe I’m wrong.

What Would Don Draper Do?

by BamaReturns07 on Jan 12, 2009 9:32 AM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Hey I'm not denying

that he claims to be a Christian. But on the field he is in your face and clearly he- after big plays – does things other guys would get penalized for. Maybe the reason Wilson or Julio don’t act like that is that they would get penalized. The most obvious example is Tebow at LSU in 2007 and Wilson at LSU in 2008. Who got penalized and who got a pass? Adn Wilson did nothing compared to Tebow.

And off the field— I don’t hate Tebow. But, I don’t like the crying interview after Ole Miss and my opinion is that a lot of the “good works” Tebow does he does for recognition. And I’m sorry I don’t see the humility
I would expect from someone who supposedly is the best Christian on the planet.

Jesus said don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. When Tebow helps little old ladies across the street somehow he makes sure the press knows about it so that the legend of Tebow grows. Listen there are guys at Alabama that do every bit as much as Tebow (well maybe not circumcisions which I still don’t see as that much of a ministry) but you never know it because they don’t do it to get known for doing it. Hey maybe Tebow really is humble and a victim of his on fame. Maybe he wishes he could just quietly go about his football and ministry.

But to me it seems he eats it up and I would go all the way back to recruitment. He loved the attention and Shula being camped out at his house when Tebow knew he was going to UF likely lead to Shula not getting as good a class and even losing his job. Tebow knew he wasn’t coming to Bama, but he must have said something to Shula . He was just playing a game called “HEY LOOK AT ME I”M TEBOW"

Anyway he is great ball player for sure. But I’m glad he is back because I honestly think Bama can beat him next year. Of course UF people think Tebow is so good he can never lose again. Time will tell.

by 5026 on Jan 12, 2009 5:42 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Are you for real?

If you think Tebow is a media whore, you obviously don’t follow college football. The guy gets several hundred speaking requests per year – and he is a college athlete. He speaks at churches and prisons during the offseason. You probably didn’t know that – I guess he forgot to alert the media that he was going.

You also don’t seem to know much about football either, so I’ll leave the rest of your slanderous post alone.

99% of the Bama faithful on this site are full of class, why would you want to portray yourself otherwise? Tebow is a football hero, just like any Heisman winner is on his team’s campus. The attention is blown out of proportion by others.

by skigator93 on Jan 12, 2009 9:43 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Agree with the first paragraph

Tebow can’t help the hype around him – 2x champs and Heisman winners will get that. People are going to see what he’s doing, and the media is going to slobber over him whether he wants them to or not. And frankly, even if he’s a media snob I’d prefer him to be doing what he’s doing than getting into trouble like most athletes do who seem to get constant media attention.

Where is Alabama CLASS??

I am not sure if regular posters have any idea what Alabama’s greatest virtue is— CLASS !! Alabama football has always been about winning- but wins come and go- CLASS is forever. I have been surprised by the rhetoric on here- the “mother@#$#ing funeral” thing before UGA – And that is something to be proud of ?? And now all this talk and the homoerotic element has gone too far. Grow up! Tebow is a young man with character—something we can all hope for. He has directed his Media attention to Jesus Christ at every opportunity not himself. If you don’t like him b/c he beat us in football is one thing but to denigrate him personally is immature and foolish. Bear Bryant and Gene Stallings would be proud to have Tebow as a player and I am proud to have him as my brother in Christ—Following his calling and using his position to help others and save souls. God help us all when we call that offensive. God Bless and Roll Tide!

Amen Shag

I wholeheartedly agree with you. We should be showing more class and wishing ALL players in all schools were as good a kid as Tebow is. I do not think he tells the media everything he has done or is doing, I think the media finds out whatever they want because he has won the Heisman and 2 NC’s and most likely the school’s PR department sends them as much as they can.

Look, bottom line is that the kid is a great leader on the field that gets his team fired up and he is a great kid with good character off the field too. I for one I’m glad to finally see a football player recognized for his good deeds and not his arrest record.

Guys, tell me if I am wrong here.

Isn’t most of this stuff just “tongue in cheek,” and you really didn’t mean much of it to begin with? Did any of you post any of this stuff on a UF site, or is this just blowing off steam on the Bama site? Until all of these guys came on talking about classless and defending Tebow, that is what I took it for, one big “joke.”

by crimsongirl on Jan 12, 2009 10:36 PM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

You are...

…not wrong. All of my posts on this thread are ‘tongue in cheek’ (and I’ve erased a Tebow-related joke about that phrase for the more sensitive readers in the audience). I don’t mean anything by it. I don’t post on any UF site (just erased another joke…and another about ‘blowing off steam’). Wow, this is hard (that’s what she said…oops).

Seriously, if some of my jokes are too crude for you, I respect that, and I apologize. It’s all in fun. I’m not casting judgement on some kid I never met. I don’t think the people at SNL think that George W. Bush is a complete moron or that Al Gore is really a robot. I find people funny in general, especially those whose value gets over-hyped. My intentions (at this site and in life) are to be playful, not hurtful.

Yeah

I thought the meaning of most of the comments were light hearted…I hate what the man does on the field…but off i have a ton of respect for him.

I also don’t think its a bad thing for him to use the media in his ministry. Think about ESPN going over seas to film him and his family doing missionary work…Millions of people saw that bit and the ministry is better for it. Thats what makes it so hard…

To see him on the field and pretty much hate his guts…then see him preaching the word to prisoners puts me between a rock and a hard place. I try to seperate the two but sometimes it bleeds over.

When you are an Alabama fan you are expected to hate Auburn, I hate Tennessee because I want to.

funny

how everyone keeps talking about how much attention Tebow gets yet this FanPost has the most comments and continues to get the most comments. shouldn’t we move on to talking about our own players and recruiting rather than talking about Tebow? i’m sure Florida fans talk about him enough as well as the media. no need for us BAMA fans to keep talking about him.

Tebow for Heisman in ’09 (haha. kidding of course)

by CSon on Jan 13, 2009 1:17 AM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

I agree...

If we never talk about Tebow again until we play UF in December for the SEC championship, it will be fine by me.

That being said, since I’m living close to Gator country in Tampa, Tebow is discussed ad nauseum. I think he is a good person and I’d certainly rather have his character traits on our team than a Jimmy Johns for instance, but once I read about his Spring Break mission trip, I’d had enough. If he had helped in the Philippines doing a number of things, it would have been admirable, but it would not have received near the publicity as his circumcision activities. Intended? Maybe, maybe not. If he was premed, ok, but he’s not. Sorry, but frankly, I just find it freakin’ weird.

How crazy is Tebow mania?

If you post an opinion that you don’t like the greatest athlete in the history of the world just because he is way over the top ON THE FIELD and a bit showy off the field, and maybe even a bit deceptive (in the way he dealt with his recruitment) then you are blasted for daring to say a negative thing about the new messiah. As if not liking TT is the same as not liking Jesus.

By the way—I don’t like Obama either. Not saying I don’t want him to succeed. I just don’t like him. I don’t know when people seem too perfect I just wonder what is the real deal.

But you have to give it to them—Tebow and Obama. The media loves them.

by 5026 on Jan 13, 2009 2:39 PM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

It has nothing to do with saying you don't like him

it has to do with the way some of our guys (not just on here, but on radio, etc.) are just laying into him, when everyone would be fawning over him if he played with us. Its just lame.

I am about as tired of hearing people vilify him as I am people like Gary Danielson wanting to have his baby. It all gets old. I am Tebow’d out. But there is no reason to slam the guy just because he is an awesome athlete that doesn’t play for us.

I don't

have anything against Tebow. I don’t dislike him or like him. The only thing that bothers me about him is the way Gary Danielson comes across as biased, but that’s a minor issue and doesn’t even need more than a few lines of griping on this site.

Otherwise, Tim is okay. I’m sure I would get along with him as well as I get along with anyone. Since I don’t let anyone other than my wife get close to me I would be friendly and polite to Tebow, keeping him at a distance. I certainly would not join in the crowd singing his praises because I don’t do that for anyone (I mean, come on, what’s the big deal? It’s good that he’s successful but we have to keep perspective here. I have bills due tomorrow, dinner to cook, tires to replace on my wife’s car, essays to grade, jobs to apply for, et cetera. What Tim Tebow does, for good or ill, has absolutely no impact on my life. What Nick Saban and Julio Jones do has no impact other than making me proud of my Alma Mater. But even if they went 0-12 I’d be proud of them because that’s my school and you’ve got to be loyal to your school.

So good for Tim Tebow. I have no interest in meeting him, befriending him, or listening to him. But I wish him the best.

IMO, Urban Meyer does come across as a jerk. In my experience that’s not a very profound statement since most of these guys do. I don’t think I’d make any effort to meet him either.

Urban and Tebow

I won’t argue with you on Urban – he does come across as a jerk. I’m not sure if he really is one though, as I’ve never personally met him, but I can definitely understand your perspective. That being said, I’ll take his scowl and “too serious” look in exchange for his coaching and recruiting ability.

A lot of people hate Saban too – but I’m not biased one way or the other on him. I guess it’s because of his statements just before he left Miami, but there really isn’t anything at all he could have said in response to those questions and not look either like a liar or a traitor. I’ve never met him either, but like Meyer, he is also a hell of a coach and recruiter.

I did think of one thing that Tebow can do to improve himself off the field…..GET RID OF THOSE @#$!^$ CROCS !!!!!!! Those things are butt ugly in any color – let alone orange and blue.

One more reason to hate Tebow

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=3835065

ESPN reports that he helped influence Spikes to return for his senior season.
That means we return all 11 starters from a defense that allowed 13 PPG.
