This game doesn't matter

If Florida wins, they’ll stay ahead of us. If the Corndogs win, they’ll jump us. So who cares?

by Mac T on Oct 10, 2009 6:32 PM CDT reply actions

The rankings now don't matter...

…we need Florida to beat LSU to make our road to ATL easier.

Nobody’s going to challenge Florida in the East. They already have it wrapped up, so might as well pull for them since the west winner will play them.

true

but this is one of those weird ones where i’m heavily invested in the outcome but don’t necessarily hope a meteor strikes the stadium.

which is brilliant but brutally cynical on meyer's part

the solution to tebow is to put him under pressure. but every player has to know the refs are going to start flinging flags at the slightest hint of roughing the passer. so you have to restrain your effort and he can take advantage of that.

Bama wins...

Actually, that’s in every Big 10 team’s contract.

But I’m grateful for the lightning delay b/c it means there’ll be football on until midnight.

Speaking of Bama...

…and kicking a ball, you gotta like Tiffin passing his dad on the all-time list today. It woulda been nicer if he’d gotten at least 40+ yard attempt…but going 5 for 5 is a nice day from any distances.

Could be correct.

Regardless. We just dodged a bullet. Honduras missed a PK, which pretty much never happens.

we advance with a tie and a Costa Rica loss. They’re up 2-0

We're reading this on a soccer site...

…and a tie does not qualify us. Too long to go into, but with one more round of games, it’s still possible we don’t qualify.

by Nico2.0 on Oct 10, 2009 10:53 PM CDT up reply actions

Does anyone have any

insight as to whether we’ll be on CBS or ESPN next week? Do you think that CBS picks up Florida so that Danielson and Lundquist can double-team the Teboner on live television for another week?

by Drew! on Oct 10, 2009 10:47 PM CDT reply actions

With the Arkansas win...

…I’m hoping they pick up the FLorida game. I imagine we’ll know by tomorrow, or Monday at the latest.

what time do you suspect our kick to be?
