I hate to say it ...

But I told you so.  I said that we would win comfortably, and we did.  I said that Snead would throw two or three interceptions, and he threw four. Now, we didn't play a very good game, I must say. Well, our defense played an ungodly good game, but our offense was horrendous -- especially in the red zone. Either the play-calling was horrendous, or the execution was horrendous.  Four times with the ball inside the 10 yard line and four field goals. ... pathetic.  No excuse for that. I don't understand it. Why didn't we try pounding it between the tackles when we were on their 5? Instead, we were running the "Throw it to Julio in Double Coverage" offense all night in the red zone.  Unbelievable.

Anyway, even with a very lackluster performance by our offense, we still won comfortably in a game that was expected by almost everyone (except me) to be a close game.

Roll Tide, and bring on the gamecocks!

Agreed...

… don’t question the Good Doctor, I suppose.

It was nowhere near as close as I thought, and I’m not complaining about that fact. Roll Tide!

play calling was very predictable.

It was a frustrating game offensively.

But, the Ole Miss D isn’t exactly porous and as good as our O has been this year there was going to come a time when they weren’t as productive as we had become accustomed to seeing.

The scary part for me today (like most everyone) was the level of ineptitude and lack of adaptability in our offensive game plan. Let us hope that we “got it out of our system” today and can resume offensive competency next week.

As for the D – wow! Just wow.

I really like

expecting the worst and being pleasantly surprised. As I’ve said before, I’ve bet against us every week and I have yet to be disappointed.

MATRIX: Bennett, I thought you were--

BENNETT: Dead? You thought wrong. Ever since you had me thrown out of the unit, I've been waiting to pay you back. Do you know what today is, Matrix? Payday.

I feel fairly safe at this point saying....

See yall in Atlanta.

Not that either of us couldn’t lose a game before the end of the regular season, but I think that there are 2 teams right now that will play for a defacto national title in Atlanta in early December.

I was concerned about playing at LSU at night with Tebow less than 100%, but I think both of us cleared our biggest hurdles tonight.

A gentlemen’s toast to you Tide fans….well done sirs.

Ill take that

As well as the compliment. I certainly hope it will be a rematch of last year’s SEC Championship. Florida will be there without a doubt, but we still need to take care of business, and LSU’s defense looked good tonight.

But the LSU offense can't score

and if they can’t score against UF in Baton Rouge at night…..they aren’t scoring against Bama in Tuscaloosa!!!

True, but...

… no way in hell you guys play that conservatively in Atlanta either.

im not gonna lie

i was nervous about this game. Ole Miss had nothing to lose and we didn’t exactly look great against UK. But damn son! Our defense is just amazing. 3 points…and 5 turnovers….on the road..against a top 20 team…just awesome…

The offense needs to fix our red zone blues…that performance yesterday was terrible. I just don’t get why we don’t go two TE’s and bring in a lead blocker….this fade route to a triple covered Julio crap aint gonna work…but like many have said..its hard to complain about a 19 point victory on the road…it just would have been nice to put 40 on these guys…

Do you think Ole Miss is really a top 20 team?

They got schooled by S. Carolina, which appeared to be about even with Kentucky.

I don't...

…think there should be a top 20. I’m having a hard time saying there’s a top ten teams. This is one of the worst football years I’ve witnessed. If it weren’t, I’d be a lot more worried about our own shortcomings. As it is, I look around the nation and see a lot of bad football, and I feel comforted by our flawed dominance.

You did call that one Doc

I will give you that. You called it almost to the numbers with the exception of underestemating Snead’s ability to implode by one interception. I think I have just gotten so used to being scared of the Ole’ Miss game. It is always so close but it just seems like we have played down to them in the past. Good call though.
