Week 7 Open Thread: I don't know if you've heard, but Texas and OU play today...
With a late kickoff for our beloved Tide, you'll just have to sit and watch at least seven hours of other teams. I know it will be tough, but with effort, determination, snacks, and a winning attitude relative to your desire to waste an entire day we can make it. Courage.

I'm really disappointed...
Saturdays are my libation days, but I just had surgery yesterday. Somehow, pigskin and percocet just don’t go as well together :(
That said I like:
Arkie to cover
OU to win straight up
Georgia to cover at Vandy
Alabama to absolutely crush USCe
And USC to win in a laugher…even in the Jungle.

nick looked mighty dapper when being interviewed with erin "hot librarian" andrews
i really liked his casual mention in the discussion of alabama’s defense concerning “how a championship team” plays.

Not a fan...
She’s got a weird grill and is too skinny. However, the squat-thrust dance in the hotel room was pretty redeeming.

Imagine
her naked, in profile, brushing her hair. Then grasps a chair in front of her and slowly squat thrusts…It looked staged to me.

Game Day
I only caught the last 25 minutes so I may be mistaken, but did they not pick a single SEC game?
They had games from Pac 10, Big Ten, Big 12, and ACC, but no SEC. Did they do it earlier in the show?

I didn't see one either...
Could that have to do with the fact that UF is on CBS today?

maybe they sense some SEC fatigue
after last weekend and Bama/Ole Miss and ramming UF/LSU into the ground.
I mean, I don’t find any SEC games this week all that intriguing, and they might agree, but they were picking random PAC-10 games, so it’s not like quality is a consideration.

Game time snacks--my fave
My favorite recipe for football games. No, it is not a “green” recipe, but it is sooo good. And on second thought Algore looks like he eats a lot of it…..
16 oz Velveeta (use the 2% milk variety if you must salve your consience);
1 can original Rotel Tomatoes with green chiles, drained;
1 pkg Jimmy Dean Hot breakfast sausage
Brown sausage, while crumbling it into a hamburger like texture and then drain thoroughly. Melt Velveeta and Rotel in microwave in covered container, stirring often, until hot, smooth and bubbly. Add sausage, stir and enjoy with Dorito Scoops, Triscuits or your fave cracker or chip.
In the unusual event you have any leftovers, heat it for breakfast and top a plain omelet with it.

I agree...
… but to my knowledge no high-end drafted QB has ever done so while missing practically all of the previous year with an injury.
And it’s not that he’ll fall too far, but the money lost is massive. So he falls from #2 overall to #13… that drop alone will cost him 25-30 million dollars in guaranteed money.

Texas would be a 3-loss SEC team…they are dreadful against any defense with speed…imagine playing a fast AND disciplined defense?

Cool stat from the SEC Network bottom line.
Alabama has won 10 straight games in Tuscaloosa, the longest home winning streak since Bear Bryant was coach.

According to my search of the ESPN College Football Encyclopedia
Alabama did not lose a game in Tuscaloosa from 1963-1982. 59 straight games. Fun fact: that 59-game winning streak ended in Bryant’s last game in Tuscaloosa, a 38-29 loss against Southern Miss.

Urban Meyer is a fricking genius
A reverse pass by Cooper on third and one that’s almost picked off near the goalline. He is clearly the greatest offensive mind of all time.

I was just about to ask why I saw Cooper's name in the stat line.
I’m at work and can only follow on gamecast, but I thought Tebow might have gotten hurt or something.

looking at all these highlight clips demonstrating his "toughness"
i’d not be surprised if he gets another concussion by that time and has to be on the sideline. the amount of major hits to the head he takes is horrifying.

colt mccoy takes a ton of hits as well...
but you notice he’s not putting himself in such vulnerable situations. that hit with berry being a prime example. tebow puts his head down and tries to power it. and sustains the impact with his head and shoulders. mccoy you have to hit from the side or he drops when it’s clear hes gone as far as he can.

As amusing as it might be to see Florida lose...
….do we really want them to pull their shit together after a bad performance that resulted in a loss like against Ole Miss last year? I’d rather have them win while playing poorly, so they continue to think they can win even if they are playing poorly.
