Boise State

I for one am hoping the stars align and we get Boise State in the NC game (and I’m not one to assume we are getting there I’m just dreaming at this point) and shit-kick them all the way back to Idaho just to shut the whole “look at the Utah game” and mid-major talk up forever.

I live in the past and I'm better than you.

If any team plays and beats Boise in the MNC game, the legitimacy of that game will be seriously questioned because of Boise’s weak schedule.

The computers do not like USC

Despite being 4th in both human polls, the Trojans are 11th in the computers.

We’re second in three of the four polls I’ve seen (behind Florida twice and Iowa once), and first in the other. We were in second in Anderson’s poll last week, though he hasn’t posted his new results yet and Wolfe hasn’t posted anything yet this year.

But, they do love the Hawkeyes...

the score on that one is Geeks 2, Pollsters 0

You don't have to worry about USC...

There is a few teams on the schedule that could beat them.

This is...

…great news. I love being ranked second at this point in the season.

Florida cannot keep squeaking by, eventually their ability will catch up with them.

They also are keeping their schedule light:
2010

9-4 Miami OH
9-11 South Florida
TBA Appalachian State
TBA @ Florida State

As compared to Alabama
2010

9-4 San Jose State
9-11 Penn State
9-18 @ Duke
9-25 @ Arkansas
10-2 Florida
10-16 Mississippi
10-23 @ Tennessee
10-30 @ South Carolina
11-6 @ Louisiana State
11-13 Mississippi State
11-20 Georgia State
11-27 Auburn

Notice Oct. 2, interesting with the SEC Championship.

Quote from www.trackemtigers.com Love it!!!!

“I think we should realistically just start looking for signs of the future. ‘09 is not our season either just like ’08 wasn’t. If we had trouble with Kentucky AT HOME and WITHOUT their starting quarterback, we are going to have major trouble with LSU, Ole Miss, Georgia, and Alabama. Right now, with the state of things we are losing those 4 games by 2/3 touchdowns at least. I don’t even want to think about what ’Bama’s gonna do to us on Black Friday right now. Our homecoming game doesn’t even seem like its going to be ‘fun’ to watch.”

oh i completely understand that part...

but how about saving up your vitrol and have it ready to roll when OTS posts the “meltdown time” feature later in the week? spreading it out like this we also run the chance of missing moments of spiteful beauty.

I watched the "Auburn Review" two weeks ago..

and Gene called his team out by saying “I told you guys Thursday we weren’t where we aught to be, …but I guarantee a victory next weekend.” Ahh, that would have been Kentucky….oh well.

This week’s show, Gene said, “I don’t want anybody with their head down, that’s not what we’re about.”

sad !

You can’t use the screen name littlebrothersyndrome and then only post here when you are talking about what the barners are saying.

Auburn’s misfortunes are small potatoes compared to our team’s goals and accomplishments thus far.

rankings
  1. or not, it’s too early.. WAY too early to start dreaming about championships. virgnia tech, arkansas, ole miss, and south carolina. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves – personally i’m looking forward to watching this thing unfold one week at a time

Interesting fact I just learned:

This is the first time Florida has ever been ranked no. 1 in the BCS standings.

by rugman11 on Oct 19, 2009 11:25 AM CDT reply actions   0 recs

On that note...

SEC Teams Ranked #1 in the BCS:
Alabama – 5 Weeks
Tennessee – 5 Weeks
LSU – 2 Weeks
Florida – 1 Week
