The worst officiating crew in the SEC is heading to BDS.
You know that SEC officiating crew that made a mockery of the Georgia/LSU game and then went on to screw up the Florida/Arkansas contest? Well, according to Dr. Saturday, it looks like they are going to be calling the Alabama v Tennessee game on Saturday.

If they truly are the staus quo boys...
e.g., UF/LSU…then that should only help us.
Snark aside, they should be relegated to the Minn-Northwestern games which, by law, are required to be played seven times a season before an audience of dozens.

Agreed
Give them to the games between 3-3 teams

unless they go for the "make up call" meaning they try to screw us to show that they aren't fixing games for the top teams

if nothing else....
this is all the explanation the athletic department needs for their decision in the jersey “controversy.” given the proven idiocy of this officiating crew, asking them to differentiate between two sets of colored jerseys might be too much to ask.

lol
Here’s hoping Alabama goes out there and plays lights out, making these refs inconsequential.
On the down side, alabama’s recent penalty proclivities doesn’t bode well for a suspect officiating crew

Are they?
Maybe I’m being dense or overlooking something, but does it expressly say this crew will be at Bryant Denny on Saturday?
I know it say something like that with "Constantly validating run-of-the-mill complaints accomplishes nothing, and only makes the officials job that much harder in the future — “Hey, good luck in Tuscaloosa, fellas, and remember: If you’re a little quick on the draw again when Rolando McClain pops Jonathan Crompton along the Tide sideline, you’re going to hear about it from them and next Monday’s press release. Have a great time!”"
But I take that to be just an example, taking any SEC matchup of the week. Either way, who knew fans in the SEC could find a crew they’d bitch about more than Penn Wagers’?

being from phoenix (home of the the Suns, a team that had the 2006 western conf semi's stolen by a corrupt offical named tim donaghy)
I’m kind of skeptical that the details about which crew is working this weekends games is actually in th epublic arena however, if i’m wrong then i find it pretty disturbing that the names of the officials is made available to the press and or public prior to game day. thats just a really really bad idea and leaves the door open for all kinds of malfeasance. dont believe me? then ask the 2002 kings team that was also fucked over by the same referee.
and i know this sounds like conspiracy theories from a jilted fan. but all i’m doing is relaying sworn testimony this guy gave after he was prosecuted in federal court and had received his sentence. but go ahead and believe david stern, because he’s proven himself trustworthy and has no motivation to lie

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But in all seriousness, that sucks bad. We continue to kill ourselves with penalties, and we draw the most flag-happy crew in the conference? Good grief.
I can almost vividly picture in my mind the thought of three Crompton pick-sixes being called back for penalties…

If these mfers cost us the game
I swear….I don’t even know what to say. Now I will be watching the game looking for screw ups, so my homerism will be in even fuller effect. Damn. These bitches don’t need to go back to referee school they need to go back and ask their parents for a refund for breeding such ignorant fucks. Redding needs to clear this shit up because if at any point we are in a dire situation you can guaran-God-Damn-tee that they will fuck our shit up. Dayum.
I hate that Shaw and his crew can’t call Bama games cause he is one of the best. Its amazing the vast difference between quality officiating in the conference. Obviously there are people out there who can competently call games, and the shit pays good, why the fuck can’t they find better refs? If Redding honestly believes this crew is worthy of doing anything besides sticking their finger up their ass to find lost pieces of toilet paper, he is more incompetent than they are. WTF do we have the GD guys from dumb and dumber working the sidelines? Probably not because at least those fuckers did something productive (and lauren Holly was hot). These idiots need to call forest gump and ask for some damn common sense points. who the hell looks for a penalty? Aren’t you suppose to see if one happens? When your hand is on the flag ON A CRUCIAL play and you pull the flag out BEFORE THE &^$%*&$ PENALTY OCCURS there is majorly blatant issues going on there. Shit I’ll officiate for $50 and BBQ nachos! Shit aint that hard. Damn.

I'm beginning to think Dr. Saturday may have been using hyperbole,
but I long for the day when even the best SEC officials were suspended for blowing a call.

Exactly...
… they got it right that time. If you remember, we even had a very close, high-res picture that clearly showed Hodge’s hand touching the ball before Mitchell.
Don’t get me wrong, we’ve certainly had our fair share of blown calls go in our favor — remember Drew Davis tackling Jason Worilds on a critical pass play late in the Virginia Tech game? — but the Ole Miss red heels incident wasn’t one of them.

Oh, but the Ole Missus kiddies got really, really bitchy when everyone and their brother started saying “Um, no, that was the right call”.

They should investigate that officiating team's ties
with anyone involved with gambling.
Two consecutive games with such poor game calling is damn near a conspiracy!

Regardless of outcome
and who benefits from the horrible calls that these refs are sure to make…these guys should be gone. Here’s to hoping for a good, hard-fought game between two traditional SEC powers Saturday where referees do not become the story.
