Politics and College Football? YES!!
Because, obviously, what's needed here is guidance from the federal government amirite?
cnn story: http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2009/10/20/pac-formed-to-push-for-bcs-playoff/
So, a newly formed Political Action Committee seeks to push the feds for a bcs playoff
Their site: http://www.playoffpac.org - my personal favorite quotes:
"...Playoff PAC helps elect pro-reform political candidates..."
"... college football reform is Congress’s business because it is the people’s business."

Not, because we have any other problems...
-intractable mess in the ’Ghan
-shitstorm in Iraq
-worst economy in 80 years
-tanking dollar about to stare up at the new petro-Euro
-increasing stratification choking out any remnant of a middle class
-20% of children in poverty, 1/6 of Americans below poverty line
-costly, and increasingly scarce health care that is treated more as a privilege than a human necessity
-ad infinitum…
Yep, this is exactly what our legislature should be focusing on.

One of the things that infuriates me most about this whole debate is people who assume that congress can only fuck one thing up at a time.
Have you people been paying attention to anything your entire lives?
Please, Congress can make a mess of college football while they screw up national defense, the economy, and health care.
(That said, I think they could fix this a hell of a lot more easily than any of those other things)
I'm wrong all the time.
