oh man....
reading his dad’s comments in this article makes me think he’s already gone….which is disappointing because we could really use a dynamic slot reciever (which is what I believe he would be put in)…..sorry to hear Daddy Sims pushing for a sit-down with Richt

I think we were going to switch him to safety...

Nice to
have known you there Mr Simms. I hope you have a good time playing Coach Richt and whomever else replaces him in the next couple of years. We’ll be over here winning NC games. But seriously good luck to you hope all works out in the end.
Sucks, I had high expectations for this kid. To bad we’ll have to put him on his ass if he ever makes it to hotlanta…

right
and if he does well in athens, then maybe his team will make it to atlanta, at which point we will have to put him on his ass.

Way too early
It is way too early to concede anything, especially to Georgia. Georgia is not recruiting him to play quarterback, just like Alabama, Georgia wants him to play either safety or wide receiver. It should also be pointed out that Alabama has been on him longer, and has forged a strong relationship, especially Coach Saban, with Sims. Let’s not forget the Georgia is also almost certainly going to be going through some major staff changes at the end of the season as well, that will certainly impact recruiting. As a side note a cornerback from Florida (Nickell Robey) who was committed to Georgia supposedly opened up his recruiting due to the uncertainity regarding Willie Martinez.
Last year everyone was also saying the same thing about Darrington Sentimore, once the Hat finally offered him a scholarship. He went on the official visit to LSU, and every LSU fan was convinced that he was going to LSU. He of course ended up at Alabama. At the end of the day Alabama is going to have to recruit him very hard, and it will probably come down to the wire for his signature.

I really, really...
…don’t care. If he wants to be part of the Process, good for him. If he wants to watch our team succeed from his couch each January, that’s fine, too.

I have to agree....
plus I think AJ will be the qb of the future anyway, so Simms would be getting his major in clip board holding and sideline signal calling.
I don't mind bad news, and I don't mind good news, but I can't stand surprises! Coach Nick Saban
