confidence. After playing terrible on offense for the 3 games (ULCA, UF, Auburn) that count (Ohio and W Ky don’t count ) UT suddenly found themselves against UGA. And, Crompton, who has been weak had a great game. Then they had a week off to get ready. So yeah I can see where they would be confident.

I think they made a mistake by talking to the press about it as this just gets Bama’s attention and really the crowds attention.

So for UT this is their defining game. Win and wow they may really have turned the corner in year 1 of Kiffin. Lose and well they have to feel they are no better than last year even if they finish 6-6 and go to a bowl.

No doubt UT has some players. Will they be able to get it done against Bama? I think not, but I have to tell you this game gives me some concern. We are a good team but we have weaknesses. Hopefully we will be good enough on Sat. Glad we are at home, that should be worth something and glad we have McClain, that is worth a lot. Look for a defensive struggle.
