CBS - Can't Broadcast Sports

Exciting game (too exciting) on the field...putrid performance in the booth. From Verne Lundquist (does the man not have a mirror) mocking Cody's weight to Danielson defending the incredibly lame no-call on the blatant pass interference at the end of the first half it started bad. But it got a lot worse after that. Verne actually called us Auburn at one point.

And then there was the disgrace of their comments after the second Cody block. Nothing about his great game--just yapping and flapping about "excessive celebration" and Cody taking off his helmet. Their bias against Alabama has been most rippling under the surface with only an occasional ripple for a long time but today it came out in full force. I know the league is getting a boatload of money from CBS, but it's a complete crock to have to listen to guys who hate your team and constantly run it down.

is taken with Lane Kiffin. I don’t know what it is, but he favors the guy. I think he likes Saban, but he dislikes Alabama.

I actually gotta give Danielson credit...

after UT’s first FG he mentioned the it was low and that might come into play later in the game…
and he was very vocal about his disgust with the play calling in the UF/ARK game last week…
they’re bad, I understand, but his Douche-y-ness Danielson isn’t the worst…

Vern is an idiot!

I didn’t hear him call us Auburn, but I did hear him call us Georgia Tech once and then he called Javy’s name as the player who made a tackle once and it was number 27 which I believe is Justin Woodall. Now I know he would get Chris Rogers and Julio mixed up last year because of their jersey numbers being the same, but these numbers were different AND there is a decent amount of difference in size between Justin and Javy. And I agree Bamagrad, Danielson is really taken with Kiffin. It is almost sickening how much he is taken with him…

About Cody taking his helmet off..

Time had expired. The game was over, so no penalty for taking your helmet off after the game. That is my take of why there was no flag.

Tired of VERN!

I am so tired of hearing VERN call UA football!!!!!
CBS needs to retire him he does not know how to call games. He is not a TIDE fan for sure and it shows in his broadcast.
Please get someone else to call our games…..
