Bench-time for McElroy?

Question- Another blog maintains that McElroy should stay in because "if he can't do it, then Star Jackson can't do it either". At least that is their opinion. Well, seems to me that McElroy can't play under pressure. Why not give another QB a turn? What harm can it do? If a DB or an RB wasn't performing, you think the coach would even hesitate to replace him? Just wondering. Seems the entire team has lost confidence in McElroy, especially Jones and Ingram. I think it is time for some bench-time.

With Star

we would have lost yesterday. GMac was not real good but he did take us down to get the FG that made it 12-3. We don’t get that one and we lose.

Now, next year we will have the option of going with McCarron or even Sims if GMac stinks it up. But right now you to dance with the one who brung you.

I hate the NCAA more than UT & AU combined. At least with UT & AU you got a fighting chance.

Bench?

I know you guys are way smarter than I am, so I won’t argue that point with you. Anyone who says somthing like “You dance with the one that brung you though”, well, that is pretty retarded. There is no law that says you have to stay with a loser at QB. Where in the world does stupid thinking like that come from and why does it linger? Ditch him like a bad penny and move to someone who has the talent. Sheesh! Give someone else a chance to screw up as bad as GMc. How much worse could they be? Oh sure, he got us within field-goal distance…what kind of positive is that? The return man on a kickoff could almost do that well. We don’t need to accept mediocrity at QB but that is what some of you are suggesting.

8-0 means nothing when the entire program is trending down. It is sheer idiocy to assume that everything is fine because they haven’t lost! What kind of cretin thinks like that? If there is a problem, and everyone agrees that there is, what is wrong with addressing it? While some of you want to ignore it because we are 8-0, I am suggesting that perhaps someone else might perform better or might motivate Mc to get over his titty-baby fear of being tackled. Has it ever occured to you that the coaching staff is growing too?

Yes, they make mistakes and hopefully learn from them. Hell, if I would learn to kick field goals in NCAA 09 I would be undefeated against my buddies, but I make mistakes.

Sure in hindsight we probably should have run, but maybe they were trying to build up GMac’s confidence and get our passing game out of this rut with a passing TD. Look, we know Greg has the skill and ability to sling the mfing rock. Something is in his head that is causing him to play below early-season form. Give him a f*cking break. Yes, we were lucky to survive BUT we are beat up and need this off-week.

These kids aren’t fucking robots. They are damn 18/19/20 yr old kids busting their ass with school, practice, and physically exhausting games. If you don’t like the QB situation at Alabama and respect the players and mfing coaches enough to let them do their damn job since they have proven to be more successful than you, then there is another fucking blog on SBN that I am damn sure would accept someone who trashes their QB and coaches after every poor performance. Realize that everyone is damn human and can’t make mistakes; otherwise, throw all your Bama shit in the garbage and go find you some ugly ass orange and blue and cheer for the team who’s fanbase hasn’t a toad’s ass lick flying f^$% sense of knowledge about the game of football. We don’t need this bullshit. We are a great team. Great teams survive games where they don’t play well.

Think about this shit – this is the only game this year outside of VaTech we didn’t truly dominate. This was the only game that I really thought we would lose. Watch us get rested, Gmac gets back on track, and we beat the hell outta LSU.

Let’s review real quick so we are all on the same flippin’ page:

Orange = whiny crybaby loser fans who flip-flop between loving and hating their coach, their players, and the lack of fresh air not infused with methane from cow farts.

Crimson = fans who shut the F up and let their successful head coach “coach” and teach his team to overcome mistakes and adversity and win championships.
