The fact that, on the big 1st down throw over Marcel’s head to put them in FG range, I screamed

That could not have been you
I just feel certain that you neither own orange PJ’s nor are you home on a visit from jail in one of those lovely orange numbers they give you free of charge at the Mobile Metro, complete with flip flops and ankle shackles. Mad after a game
It is fun to watch others get mad/upset. But my fiance would take that any day. I wish I was that cool after a loss.
Yeah, he never gets

After the Alabama/Arkansas 2006 game...
when Tiffin missed those extra points, I went into the shower, laid down on my back and cried for two hours as the water became freezing. And after that, I didn’t speak for a few days. This is nothing.

I’ll give the guy credit, though, he really doesn’t go that nuts. Hell, we routinely go more nuts than that in the open threads when we are winning. Kudos to him, he’s actually pretty level headed.

I'd hate to agree with a Vols fan...
But I felt a bit dirty when I heard the Rammer Jammer after that pitiful performance by the Crimson Tide. We didn’t beat the hell out of anyone on Saturday… except ourselves. 2nd and 2 from the TN 4, and you pass the ball? TWICE?! AFTER THE RUNNING GAME GOT YOU THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE?!?!?! Jesus. While I’m glad the Tide got the win, Alabama didn’t deserve it, and we certainly didn’t deserve to do the Rammer Jammer. The Rammer Jammer is a sacrament to very nearly any Tide fan, but it tasted like ashes in my mouth instead of redemption.
Alabama...
…certainly, unquestionably, completely deserved to win that game. Our entire team, gassed as they were, fought hard to beat UT. Our QB play was not stellar, but it was significantly improved from the previous game. Our top RB fumbled, but he ran well all day long. Our top WR had relatively few yards, but still had the most receptions of the season. Our defense was running on fumes at the end of the game, but they only allowed ten points, seven of which came off our lone turnover. Our special teams had some mistakes, but our punter improved his average, our kicker was 100% and scored all our points, and if Mt. Cody doesn’t get his second block, either Julio does or it misses wide. Due to our exhaustion, we almost folded…but we didn’t fold…we finished.
This win is better than the last two. It took mental toughness, determination, and faith. I loved it.

Completely agree
Tiffin and the defense in particular deserve endless credit for this win. Tennessee had the ball for 20:33 in the second half to our 9:27, with a 46-18 # of plays advantage, and the defense did not let go any points until the very end when Mark Ingram gave up the only fumble in his career. And we wouldn’t have let anything happen if Ingram hadn’t fumbled. Those stats don’t lie. Nobody else in the country holds a team scoreless when they’re on the field for that long. We have one of the best defenses in college football history, and they played their hearts out against impossible odds. I’m so proud of this team. We’ve got crazy talent and we never, never, never give in. WE FIGHT.
by crimsontsunami on Oct 26, 2009 11:08 PM CDT up reply actions
Totally agree.
We did not win that game by luck but by determination. We willed ourselves to victory and the crowd was a part of it. Any win against UT deserves Rammer Jammer. Now, if we had beat N.Texas our FIU by 7 pts. I say just forget the song.
I hate the NCAA more than UT & AU combined. At least with UT & AU you got a fighting chance.
I love you Nice Li'l!
I “fourth-ed” this post of yours. (DOESN’T MATTER WITH MOST ANY GAME- WE ALWAYS DESERVE TO WIN. WINNING UGLY, IS STILL WINNING. AND WINNING IS WHAT ALABAMA IS AND WHAT PLAYING THE GAME IS ALL ABOUT!)

I LOVE your sig!
Reminds me, one day a buddy and I come stumbling out a T&A bar (kicked out, really) and we start fighting in the middle of the street. Then some “financially-challenged” bus-stop sleeping bedraggled man comes up to us – in the middle of us beating the shit outta each other (why? i forgot.) and says to us, “Spare some change, please?”
Well, my buddy- he just got his black-belt in Kenpo and squares up to this guy and holds out his hands like he’s supposed to get into some yoga-pose or something and says, “Change, comes from within!”
Literally, HE KILLED IT! I broke out in a rage of laugher, blood coming out my nose and one eye surely black and closed shut. True story.

like I said up thread....
Rammer Jammer is my favorite song. And Tennessee is my least favorite team. The two go together even better than warm cookies and cold milk.
And you should remember this: our players took everything Tennessee threw at them on Saturday and STILL WON. Sure it came down to the last second, but there was no way this team was going to lose that game. We sure as hell did deserve this win, and I’m truly proud of our team.
And you should never, ever agree with a Vols fan.

I'm
not a huge fan of singing it after EVERY win. I am one of those who wants to save it for our rivals and big games. The very fact that we know how much it gets under the skin of other fans just makes it all the more appropriate.

I appreciate this guy.
He may be a vol, but people like him is what keeps the rivalry a rivalry. I love the passion that all sec fans show and proudly display. I love when crazy things like this happen in a game to give us something to talk about for the following week, and in this case forever. Championship opportunities may come and go, but pride is something that I don’t believe has ever been lost at the university of Alabama, or in the sec in general. Just goes to show you…Tennessee is 3-3 but this guy brings the intensity as if they were 6-0. Just like any other fan would. Everyones talked a bout “hate” and “disgust” this whole past week, but I have to honestly say I love every team in the sec or in fbs for that matter AND their fans and the support that everyone brings weekend after weekend. It’s really made and continues to make college football the great sport that it is and has helped mold the great atmosphere that we all enjoy. So let’s all raise a glass and say cheers
