I was watching the reply again and noticed something that might have been missed. It looks to me, from this image, that he was going to miss it left anyway. The line starts at the spot of the ball goes directly through the football and TC's left hand and ends up left of the uprights.

Correct.
A shot straight behind the kicker shows it very close on the left upright. It might have made it and then of course the ball could have sliced too so we will never know.
I hate the NCAA more than UT & AU combined. At least with UT & AU you got a fighting chance.
