Alabama-Florida Conspiracy Theory
Alabama-Florida conspiracy theory
This is a great link regarding the newly touted conspiracy theory that the SEC and NCAA are determined to have an Alabama Crimson Tide-Florida Gators championship rematch. So much so that they would fix their seasons?
Lane Kiffin, new coach of the Tennessee Volunteers, has nominated himself the Joe McCarthy of college football by accusing the league and the refs and anyone else involved of conspiring to keep Alabama and Florida undefeated, so that the much-hyped rematch will happen and big money will follow.
FanPosts are just that; posts created by the fans. They are in no way indicative of the opinions of SBN and the authors of Roll Bama Roll.

Nominally.

I'm gonna
go out on a limb and accuse Lane Kiffin of being an irreconcilable asshole.

BENNETT: Dead? You thought wrong. Ever since you had me thrown out of the unit, I've been waiting to pay you back. Do you know what today is, Matrix? Payday.

What if?
My biggest question is not if there is a conspiracy. It’s who will the refs be pulling for when we play Florida in the SECCG?

Anyone who thinks
any refs, SEC, NCAA, CBS, ESPN, etc. would actually want Alabama to do good are crazy. Why would NCAA not let one of our players, Harris, play for half the season? Why would the SEC give UT an off week before Bama? Why would the LSU-UGA refs call a no call helping LSU win that game when they are the only team standing between Bama and ATL.
No, the only logical explination is that Kiffin is a jerk and so are most of the Aubies. Now that makes sense.
And by the way, as far as the NCAA, they love USC not Bama. The NCAA is just waiting the nail Bama for anything they can find.
Whatever happened with Reggie Bush and USC- nothing it just went away.
I hate the NCAA more than UT & AU combined. At least with UT & AU you got a fighting chance.

My $0.02...
Anyone who thinks the NCAA or SEC are actually competent enough to engineer a major conspiracy are seriously deluded.
I'm wrong all the time.

It's the product of having good players
Even when your team doesn’t play its best, the talented players can make great plays as a result of their ability and these plays seem lucky. It’s not a conspiracy, it’s just talent perceived as luck. Things go your way when you’re good. USC always seems to get the breaks because they win so much. The New York Yankees do also.
