AFA to host 'College GameDay'
No siiiiiiir... do not like it! Would have bet money they were coming to T-town.
ESPN's "College GameDay" is coming to Air Force Academy for the Air Force -- Army game on Nov. 7.
Next week’s game will mark the third time "College GameDay" has broadcast from the Academy. The crew was there in 2001 for the Army game and in 2002 for the contest against Notre Dame. "College GameDay" will kickoff a week of programming in conjunction with Veterans Day.

It's Veterans Day Promotion
Vet Day is 11Nov…since I’m an AF guy myself….go Falcons!!! I can handle Game Day not being in T-Town. The Game itself is big enough….plus, I’m down for honoring our Vets.

I say BS...
It’s just ABC / ESPN trying to not give extra promotion to games not broadcast on their network. Same way that suddenly cancer research was the big excuse for taking Gameday to the Boston College v. FSU game.
I don’t think ABC / ESPN could give two shits about the veterans, or cancer awareness, or whatever other CSR cause that they can think of.

Oddly enough...
It’s just ABC / ESPN trying to not give extra promotion to games not broadcast on their network.
The Air Force-Army game is on CBSC aka CSTV aka CBS College Sports Network, which is a division of CBS.
Well if your gonna say...
it….say it like you mean it! lol

Geez
And on another note, do we really need the presence of College Gameday to enjoy ourselves, and let us know its a big game? I say great for Air Force, it will mean a lot to them I’m sure. More than it would to us.
yea...I get extra nervous when GameDay comes to BDS...
especially when Corso picks us…I feel like we’re screwed…

F*** College Gamae Day!!! Bunch of pansies!!!
" I should keep my words soft and sweet in case I have to eat them."
I am that guy that gets up early to be in the background on gameday.
The last time I was on tv was when gameday came to TTown when I was a senior. We were undefeated. #3 in the nation. It was sweet. One guy brought a sign that said “if you thought katrina hit you hard wait until the tide comes in.” Me and the group standing around made the guy move to the other side because we did not want to be associated with something distasteful ( I know extremely ironic) but it was pretty fresh off the incident. We had refugees staying on campus facilities. (which they trashed I might add.) Anyways what was really cool was it was early and Herb Corso and Mr. Heisman himself all had dress shirts ties and jackets on with sweatpants and running shoes. Everyone was chanting Corso wears sweatpants. Now everytime I see game day I imagine them in sweatpants under the desk.
Great Game Hokies! What a battle!

sorry but that sign is just funny.

Glad I'm not the only one who thought that,
though putting it up ten weeks after Katrina when a lot of refugees are living on your campus might have been a bit insensitive.
(sweet until they beat us in ot that is)

I'm an Army cadet but....
I decided to take myself off of the list to travel to AF-Army so I can be sure to see the Alabama-LSU game. Honestly would much rather have gameday i T-Town anyways. Crimson Tide allegiance above all. RTR
I'ma be saluting you one day...

I spent 3 weeks this summer with the 91st CA Bn and enjoyed the post....
although it was hot as hell
AIRPOWER!!
Though being enlisted means it’s more out of guilt by association that I’m pulling for the Falcons…I have trouble rooting for a group of well connected future ring-knockers, but oh well…better to be blue than green :)
