Former Ole Miss Player Tony Fein Found Dead
Not a lot of details on the situation but former Ole Miss linebacker Tony Fein died Tuesday morning in Port Orchard, Washington. The cause of death has not been released.
Fine played middle linebacker at Mississippi during the 2007 and 2008 seasons. Over the course of 24 games he amassed 136 tackles, including eight for a loss. He is also the guy who came up with the whole "landshark" thing.
Originally from Washington, Fein served in Iraq as a Delta recon scout for two-and-a-half years prior to college.
After leaving Ole Miss he unsuccessfully tried out for a spot on the Seahawks roster but later signed as an undrafted free agent with the Baltimore Ravens. He was released in the team's final round of roster cuts prior to the season.
