Alabama opened up as a 14-point favorite over Mississippi State, and in the past couple of days in Vegas the consensus line has fallen to 13 points.

Line
A very low line considering the disparity in the teams. Obviously, a fear of the trap game for Alabama and a lot of respect for what Dan Mullen has done at Mississippi State. That said its hard to believe that Alabama is not 14 points better than Mississippi State.
Eh, I can see it...
Everyone thought that MSU would be terrible at the start of the year (myself included), but they’ve been pretty dang stout and played a lot of good teams close. Their biggest problem is an unreal strength of schedule — getting ‘Bama, Florida, and LSU, plus Georgia Tech and Houston on the OOC — but they’ve played close and the losses have been very respectable. They’ve kept it close with LSU, Florida, Houston, and Georgia Tech, and considering those teams currently have a combined record of 33-4, I would kind of expect them to do the same with us.
Besides, I think our offensive issues still give the betting class some concerns. 24 points against LSU was good, but it wasn’t a breakout performance, per se, and I still think that they look at us offensively and possibly see that team that scored two touchdowns in three weeks returning.
All in all, I think it’s a pretty fair line based on how things have shaped up this year.
Again, their biggest problem has been an unreal non-conference schedule. Even with that, though, they still have a chance at becoming bowl eligible, and honestly this is a team that would definitely make a bowl if they had been given a cupcake OOC schedule like Ole Miss or Kentucky.

I feel this line is
fair and would not be surprised to see us struggle.
MSU was off.
Alabama is coming off an emotional win- look out.
It is over there with those cow bells.
It is at night and strange things happen at night over there.
We have lost 2 of 3 to these guys.
But the main thing is Mullen has done a good job.
Last week I thought Bama would win by 9 in a low scoring game, I felt 16-7, but 24-15 was very much what I thought would happen.
I look for this game to be tight through the half but I feel we will pull away in the second half. Bama 20-7. But I’m telling you, this is a dangerous MSU team. If we get the ball to Julio alot I don’t know if they have anyone that can stop him like LSU or UT. (Well LSU could stop him until their guy left the field)
I hate the NCAA more than UT & AU combined. At least with UT & AU you got a fighting chance.
Hopefully the trend continues for me.
I’ve been to two night games at DWS. One against South Carolina and one against LSU. MSU lost those two games by a combined score of 60-0.

It’s at 11-12 depending on the book AND
Tenn is a 4.5 dog at Ole Miss (love the underdog there)
AND Pitt is only -7 at home v. ND.
Whoo Hoo.

wow. those are pretty attractive lines
though i’m hesitant to put money on wanstache coached team but their frosh RB is pretty damn good, and ND is terrible just terrible. exactly as i predicted they would be over the summer (i also said weis will be fired after losing @ stanford to close out the season and the only way that looks to go wrong is if he gets the axe before they make that road trip)
welcome to the SEC kiffykins...
