MAN VS. WILD
Did anyone else find it wrong for Andrews to crush Rolandos' dreams by telling him Man vs. Wild was fake. Any body named Bear is a bad ass, he bites heads off of fish, jumps out of planes does crazy shit I wouldnt even think about doing maybe thats why Rolo likes him. I think we should have a show called Rolando vs. Offenses and I wouldn't care if he stayed in a hotel after the cameras went off. At least he didnt say he liked the sissy survivorman.

yeah that sucked, and fake is a little too harsh a word, Bear ate maggots for the vittamins and jumped into quicksand

That was BS
Well, I dunno how serious they were about how crushed Rolando was, but of course the show is “fake”. It says so during the show itself! They present challenges during it that could be avoided but hey, there’s no show if dude is just walking around avoiding things for an hour. That was annoying.

I saw that, and my dreams were crushed too...
And it was definitely wrong, and maybe even a little evil of her to do that to him/me.

Someone's getting coal for Christmas.
I remember some exposè where there was a huge pit to cross. The guys panned the camera to the right, and there was a busy highway. Definitely fake, but you might as well tell OTS that there is no Santa (shhh, don’t let him know).

Come on.
True a lot of the situations could be avoided easily, but the show is about showing different survival techniques. I guess I dont watch it enough but based on my limited understanding of the premise, I think that it accomplishes what is sets out to do…unless he is sneaking granola bars then he should be shot. emphasis mine whowhahah
Great Game Hokies! What a battle!

Survivorman vs Man vs wild
There really is no comparison , Bear at least catches and eats bugs, drinks urine , and does the swimming ,jumping, and climbing thing . Now Survivor man camps out as soon as the helicopter leaves and bitches about carrying the cameras through out the show and …….Starves ! for one week , ( lucky for him he only has to stay one week instead of two , he would be dead ) I have watched show after show and besides a questionable rabbit that was or was not snared, I have yet to see him eat a thing, bigger than a grasshopper and maybe a leaf or berry here and there, Hell I saw him on one episode with another guy supposedly showing you how to survive if lost in the wilderness and they each had a dam gun ! and they practically starved to death. I laughed so hard, I think I hurt my self. Hell I can go out side and starve for a week and for what hes getting paid I wouldn’t complain about the cameras.

haha, you’re right, Survivorman just whines about how cold it is and how much the cameras weigh the whole show! And to think, if they have over a hundred hours of footage and can’t edit out 40 minutes with no complaining, he must just do that the whole time.

Man v. Wild
Is built around coming up with scenarios to illustrate survival techniques. Bear performs all the feats you see him perform. Bear Grylls also summited Everest in his early 20s and recently set an altitude record by driving an ultralight off a mountain. You are not tough.
