Pensacola, Fla. (Pine Forest HS)• Johnson led Alabama offensive line with the top grade following a 31-3 win over Mississippi State. He was one of two offensive players of the week according to the coaching staff.
• He did not allow a sack, pressure or get called for any penalties against the Bulldogs.
• Johnson helped clear the way for an Alabama offense that gained 444 yards, with Mark Ingram rushing for 149 yards and two TDs.
• In 58 offensive plays, Alabama had just five lost rushing yards.

I am very happy and glad for Mike Johnson and am kind of ticked that Marquis Johnson or Mark Barron didn’t get defensive player of the week. They were just fantastic for us on Saturday and Marquis made plays that ensured MS State’s score stayed at 3!
