Not sure if this is acceptable.....
My first post here at RBR. Didn't see anything about this, so please let me know if this is not acceptable to ask here.....
But this past weekend, my wife and I were in California for a wedding, and my parents stayed at my house. I had the 'Bama/MS State game set to record on my DVR (I record them all and burn to DVD), but my wife had a bunch of dance shows and Dr. Phil/Doctors, etc set to record last week as well (/bangs head on wall) and my DVR ran out of space, therefore, the game was never recorded.
My question is, does anyone have a copy of this game that could be burned to DVD (or even on VHS). I'll gladly pay for shipping, handling, cost of DVD/VHS tape, your time, etc. Or I'll gladly burn/trade any other game so far this year if anyone wants to (I have them all on DVD, including the FIU and North Texas games). The bamadvds.com site has been shut down, and that was the only way I knew to get older games.
I can watch the game on ESPN360, but I'm not sure if I would be able to burn it to a DVD somehow from that or not. (If anyone knows, that information would be greatly appreciated as well).
I don't care too much about quality and all that (keep the commercials in them for all I care). I just wanted to try to collect every game this year, since it might end up being one of the most special years this millenium (not to get too far ahead of myself, I even take UT-Chatt seriously).
Any help would be most appreciated. And again, sorry if this violates any ToS on this site. If so, please let me know and/or delete this post.
Many thanks.
Skarth

The unacceptable part
is allowing your wife to control your DVR like that. Turn in your man-badge immediately!

The games you do have recorded.
I will do the same for you. I recorded all the games but could not get them off my cable provided DVR (They were encrypted) if somehow you could even send the files that would be great.
I have a DVD recorder that I hooked into my DVR. I watched the games again while recording them (pausing during commercials/halftime, etc). I’m pretty computer illiterate, so if you know how to get the games on file in a computer to send, please let me know and I’ll gladly do that (don’t want to accept money, as that might violate some law or something). I didn’t “download” them off my DVR or whatever. I have cable provided DVR as well.

I forgot the game will be compressed on the rerunning of it. Some plays will be cut out.

Do you have "on demand" with your cable system
It might be available there. Dancing shows… LOL… I’m not sure I would have admitted that. I would have come up with I was drunk and passed out in my own vomit or something… Just picking at you. Good luck with it.
Sorry I can’t help. This is the only game of the year I have been able to watch in total peace because my son’s youth football ended last season so it is the only game that I didn’t dvr. BTW, I don’t think that your request is illegal or improper as long as you are not selling it.

SHHHHHHHHHHH.........
Don’t let CBS or Slive get wind of this guys.
Just kidding,
You can probably record a re-run. However it will be edited for time restraints.

It's fine...
… hope you get your DVD soon, and thanks for signing up here at RBR. Hope to see a lot more of you in the coming months.

Thanks for the comments and welcome. I checked On Demand but they only have 3 no-name games available.
Maybe I could just email the bamadvd guy to see if he has the game (I got the ’08 Iron Bowl from him last year when I missed the first quarter due to another game being on and it never re-airing that I could find).
But if anyone has a copy of this game they could record to a VHS or DVD, please let me know and I’ll pay for the supplies/shipping/effort/etc and/or trade any other game so far this year (including the cupcake PPV ones).
Thanks.

PS. I live in Maryland by the way, and checked a website that showed upcoming games to be re-aired and ‘Bama/MS State wasn’t one of them. So far, just seeing the TN/Ole Miss and Florida/SC games coming up. And like you guys said, I would likely miss some of the action anyway due to editing…..and I wanted every play this year recorded if at all possible.
