Brock started the opener, and was the team's best outside shooter. More tomorrow.

Not good...

However, Charvez Davis was really solid once again tonight. He seemed to be our only real threat outside though and it’d be nice to have another player who can spell him. Oh well…

Also, Tony Mitchell had a really good night (at least it seemed so to me).

Well that's awesome

Good thing we play a bunch of high school teams the next few games.

So this means what in real terms?

I assumed that we would be bad this season, but does this mean we’ll be really bad? Are we looking at another Gott-fired-esque year, or what?

I don't think so

The major difference between this year and years past is that we will actually IMPROVE throughout the season. At this point we are rebuilding, we need all the help we can get, but if this means that someone else can step up in Brock’s abscense then it won’t be a terrible thing. Remember, we are laying the foundation for the future this year, we have to remember that. But I can see us finishing near 20 wins and about 8-8 in conference if we can stop shooting ourselves in the foot. But it is still to early to tell.

Charvez Davis is key

If Brock stays out, Davis has to step forward. The team shot much better from three today (I’ll write it up in the morning) but Davis is really the only remaining player who looks like a plus three-point shooter.

Mitchell was great.

Yeah he is.

By the way, thanks for keeping up with Bama hoops. I’ll try and give you some extra input when I can, as I consider myself a knowledgable baskeball fan. I think I’m going to the game friday night.

Yes but better effort.

Did you hear? Tennessee are getting new uniforms again. All orange with accessories for the hands and legs!

methinks it is the ganja

I really think this will be much like Saban’s first season. Grant will weed(NPI) out the players that do not belong, bring in another full class of his own players next season and within 3 years we will be challenging for SEC titles and FF berths.

Auburn and Tennessee fans are a lot like Slinkys...neither are worth much but you do get a sense of satisfaction from pushing them down a flight of stairs

Get em Coach Grant!

We know there is a process and there is a price to pay. I’m more than willing to have a bad season if we are laying the ground work for a solid future.

I hate the NCAA more than UT & AU combined. At least with UT & AU you got a fighting chance.
