The line

reflects the odds makers belief that more people will bet UF that UA. I would concur that across the nation more people will bet UF due to Tebow. He is tough to beat. Not impossible, but tough.

I hate the NCAA more than UT & AU combined. At least with UT & AU you got a fighting chance.

I hate to say it, but the spread is usually accurate. Last year it was since we lost by eleven. 3.5 points is close enough that it’s a toss-up. Good sign for us.

Point-spread favorites only win about 75% of the time. Better than flipping a coin, not quite as good as your average pick ’em. Most of that weight is carried by double-digit favorites which I seem to remember win around 80% of the time, sub 1-touchdown favorites do not do nearly so well.

I'm wrong all the time.
