Jones never tipped his hand. Watson didn't know for sure. Neither did Saban. He watched along with everyone else as Jones slowly donned a Crimson Tide cap and said he was just glad the process was complete.
Sam Jones said his nephew chose Alabama because of Saban, the one coach who "didn't promise him anything."

Little did he know...
The Process was just beginning.

“I get mad if one person brings me down,” Jones said. “Even two, I mean, I get mad. I’m really hard on myself. I think I got that way from playing running back. I played corner and safety, too. I mean, I’m not scared to hit nobody.”
Favorite quote of that article by far.

It's gotta be killin' Saban and the offensive coaches . . .
. . . that we haven’t figured out how to get Julio on a roll.

“I don’t really care about how many catches I get, how many yards, how many touchdowns,” Jones said. "At the end of the day, it comes down to did you have fun and help your teammates out. They’re like my brothers. I not only play for me. I play for them.
“Who doesn’t want to go hit somebody? If you’re not getting the ball, are you going to take a play off and walk around? It’s football.”
Loved this part.

in ESPN's rumor section
the first headline says Julio Jones will stay for 4 years….Their only obvious source in this is Gentry’s statement that Julio will not leave before he obtains his degree

honestly though
If he doesn’t have a break out year next year he will be here for his senior season.

No...
…he will not be here four years. The real shame of it is that if we cannot figure out a way to get him more involved in the offense; Alabama will have wasted a once-in-a-generation type talent. Now, that being said I do expect that Alabama will figure out how to utilize him better this year and next year.

Maybe I’m alone on this, but until we lose a game because he doesn’t get the ball enough, he’s not being “wasted” regardless of whether he’s making 2 yards a game or 200.
The point of the sport is to win games, not pad stats of superstars.

barring any more injuries
I just don’t see him staying. Hightower, however, will most definitely be here his senior season

That's nice and all,
but unfortunately we still will have just had Dont’a three seasons. I wish for anything that he hadn’t been hurt!

Well, if he HAD to get hurt
this would be the year. At least we have McClain.

I already liked Julio...
Being an Alabama fan and living down here where he played his high school ball… I don’t think it’s an option. They kick you out of Baldwin county for treason if you don’t. But there is something about a guy letting a 5th grader bust his chops, and something about a guy who does what his momma says… if I wasn’t already offering myself to Mt. Cody for marriage, I think I’d marry Julio.
