UAB
can get bowl eligible today (ain’t gonna happen though against ECU…especially at ECU). Kickoff in 10 mins. HOpefully they can sew it up against UCF next week.
Does anyone else feel like
that Bama may be the best 11-0 team not to have played their best in any one of them?
They have to play progressively better each of the next 3 games.
I live in Utah but HATE the Utes! Roll TIDE, Roll!
thank you sec officials for continuing to reinforce...
our already abysmal perception of your efforts.

UAB has their jumbo package in apparently
1st and goal from the 3 and they’re just running it up the gut.
3rd and goal on the three still…
dear lsu,
you can now stop bitching about that iffy call in our game.

Ugghhh
UAB drives drives 70 yards, nearly converts a 3rd and 19, goes for it on 4th and 1 instead of kicking the FG, doesn’t make. Two plays later they’re down 14-3 instead of having had a crack at 7-6. UGA fans are probably right, UAB taking Neil Calloway off their hands is probably one of their greatest successes.
Oklahoma falls 41-13
and they’re staring 6-6 right in the face if they don’t beat Okie St. next week.
Is that the letdown of the year?
I know they lost Bradford and Grisham, but to go from #2 and a BCS title contender to a .500 team? That’s an awful big drop.
Just need one.
I too expect UCF to be the more feasible of the two, but hey, if you can lock it up early and/or get seven wins…why not?
Danielson better be careful
Tebow is going to get jealous with all the man-love that McCluster is getting right now.

Bwahaha
Houston Nutt is a sorry excuse for a coach. It appears that he’s gonna ride McCluster harder than Danielson.
No sh*t
Jevan Snead is a joke. Ole Miss would be winning right now if he could hit a wide open receiver.

Great play by the Clemson QB

the performance of the ole miss offense in the red zone today
is painfully familiar.
Roll 'Bama Roll: The Champagne of 'Bama Blogs.
UAB shows why the Rex Grossman school of...
…“Fuck it, I’m going deep” is a bad idea toward the end of a half. INT with a return. FG, now down 20. Blazers outgaining them by 40 yards and losing by 20.
Does anybody think we might have benefitted
more from playing UTC today than Auburn benefitted from having the week off? Our starting team played a half of football, which is really no different from a semi-tough practice. With this in mind, did Auburn really gain anything more than an extra week to watch film and plan? Our offense is predicated on brute strength and physicality, not subterfuge, and our defense gives identical looks in certain situations to prevent coaches and quarterbacks from knowing what it will do.
So really, did Auburn really benefit from the week off?
MATRIX: Bennett, I thought you were--
BENNETT: Dead? You thought wrong. Ever since you had me thrown out of the unit, I've been waiting to pay you back. Do you know what today is, Matrix? Payday.
I was thinking about that too.
Unless they had some guys with some injuries that two weeks of sitting would fix, then probably not.
i kind of think it's bad for them
waiting till the end of the season for an off week wears the heck out of a squad. and the UTC game was about as close to an off week as we can get. so we get the advantage of both.
but they’ve only themselves to blame for scheduling the off week before playing us. tfb
Roll 'Bama Roll: The Champagne of 'Bama Blogs.
I think you make a good point.
The only exception I would take into consideration is that we have a short week upcoming.
In my opinion
We basically got another practice in. If there is any advantage, I’d say it is ours. The only real risk in playing a game like that instead of having a weekend off is the risk of injury. Of course, that can happen in practice, too.

that we won’t have to endure the cacophony of Verne and Gary’s voices on Friday.

Gotta love that UAB circus.
They get it 30-14 with a whole quarter to play and give up a 99 yard kick off return.
C'mon Huskies!
Weis gone! Good for UConn with all they endured this year.
Think Rich Rod is gone, too? Could be some coaching shake ups in the SEC…

The only thing that sucks about this game
Is that now we’re going to have to hear how great Ole Miss is going to be next year again. They’ll probably be ranked in the Top 5 again and be expected to compete for the SEC West simply because they played well at the end of the year. I know, it will be fun to see their hopes dashed again (“To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of the women”), but it just pisses me off to see teams get all of this credit just because they play well for 3-4 games out of a 12-game season.

They just let Lafell scoop it up.

As much as we knock Miles

LSU would do better
with Les in the booth and one of the assitants running the show on the sidelines. Oh yeah, with him in the booth they need to just unplug his headset with about 5 minutes to go.
I predict LSU will lose to Arky. It will be Ole Miss in Orlando, Arky in Dallas and LSU will get to Atlanta after all to play Miami in the Peach Bowl. They will then beat Miami by 30 pts. and be in the top 5 at the start of next year. Meanwhile Michigan will stick with RR for one more year, but when they go 6-6 next year they will fire him but rather than Les Miles they will get Jim Harbaugh.
I hate the NCAA more than UT & AU combined. At least with UT & AU you got a fighting chance.
I really doubt Michigan will want to hire Harbaugh after this quote
"College football needs Stanford. We’re looking not for student athletes but scholar-athletes. No other school can carry this banner. The Ivy League schools don’t have enough weight [because of their low athletic level]. Other schools which have good academic reputations have ways to get borderline athletes in and keep them in."
"Michigan is a good school and I got a good education there," he said, "but the athletic department has ways to get borderline guys in and, when they’re in, they steer them to courses in sports communications. They’re adulated when they’re playing, but when they get out, the people who adulated them won’t hire them."
damn
that’s rough to say about the alma mater

He obviously had no clue
He didn’t know what the hell was going on. Did you see him on the sideline after the long 4th down pass asking if they had another timeout? Geez. Say what you will about Mike Shula, but at least he knew how many timeouts we had!
Dr. BamaFrazier is IN!
what i'm finding highly amusing
is how the consensus among lsu folks is that les “lost” the game on that play. which is interesting, since they were “losing” at the time that play was called. to say the whole game hinged on that one coaching error is to overlook the problems that led them into the situation to begin with.
ole miss was an overmatched team that played to their competition. they earned that win more than lsu threw it away.
but i’m not surprised after hearing the corn dogs whine about how the ref’s were to blame to the loss in Bryant-Denny. the fact they were outplayed the entire second half of that game has gotten conveniently forgotten in the wake of the wailing and gnashing of teeth.
but, weirdly, i’m actually happy they are reacting this way. because it means they still assume they are the power in the sec west and the fact they have struggled is due to factors outside of their control. and, as a result, they are unlikely to address the actual state of affairs.

This is poetic justice for Les Miles.
In the LSU vs. Auburn game, a couple of years back, he pulled the most idiotic move ever by not kicking the field-goal. Miraculously the guy came up with it and Les Miles, instead of looking like a laughing stock, looked like a genius. Unfortunately for him he has run out of luck and Sabans recruits to get him out of these quagmires.

This Stanford-Cal game is actually pretty good.
Cal leads 31-28 with 5:00 left, even though they have a 35:00-19:00 TOP advantage.
Stupid announcer
This guy is talking about Colt Mccoy’s Heisman stock will be up,then he make excuse’s for his lackluster play early on by saying something about different offensive formations and shit.
Cal leads by six.
Stanford will get the ball back with 2:42 to play ut no timeouts.
Jesus.
Cal’s defense is a sieve. They give up two QB scrambles for 17 yards and then Luck hits Gerhart as the outlet down to the 15 yard line.
