Line opens up with Florida a 5 1/2 pt. favorite
Vegas has opened up the line for the SEC Championship game with Florida being a 5 1/2 point favorite. I expect this to narrow over the next week in spite of all the Tebow love.

I like being the underdog
If being such a huge favorite over Auburn affected our team the way it seems like it did, hopefully this will have the opposite effect. We need to come out pumped and control the tempo from the very beginning!
Why Bama Was Flat @ AU
Looking at Bama player comments concerning the SEC Championship Game, it sounds as if many were guilty of looking beyond Aubie to December 5. It took a 14 point blast of reality to wake the Tide up and remind them that a rivalry game against a bitter foe is always a battle. Reading various blogs geared to the Gator Nation, it looks like they are likewise guilty of of looking ahead – viewing the Bama game as a warm-up to another coronation as national champions. I want to see an awesome display of Bama power (Offense and Defense) tie-up their “chomp” and to beat them into a whimper for mercy on Saturday. That is my idea of a blast of reality!
Same here.......
but watching Minnesota today, I sure am glad Harvin is gone.
You can't win. You can't break even. You can't get out of the game.
Agreed...
…and Mullen as well….

me too...
but he wasn’t even a factor in Florida’s win last year

But...
…his absence will factor in Florida’s loss this year….

Line Will Drop
This point spread is a starting point – I see the line going to +3 Bama, primarily because this Florida team is not as good as last year’s model, and Bama is better all around. Florida will be favored because of the “Tebow Factor”, and nationally gets all the love from media outlets. The kid is a great leader and competitor, and it is hard to bet against him. Nevertheless I’m looking for the upset! Bama has still not played to their full potential this year. Let’s hope it happens Saturday in the ATL.
I think
Florida will remain the favorite, but I wouldn’t be surprised to drop to almost nothing. Either way, the smart money’s on Bama

The Tebow suckling ESPN Gameday crew will be in Atlanta...
Last year Bama was No. 1 and Florida was No. 4, with something to prove.
It seems the underdog is usully the hungrier team. According to Reamer, last year’s goal was to get to the SEC CG. This year’s to bring home a win.
Got that winning feelin'
If our team wasn't passionate enough for Auburn
this is the reason. Hunger will not be a problem for Alabama.

Alabama was ranked higher in last season's SECCG....however,
according to Vegas, we were a 8-10 point underdog in that game. Started at 10 and dropped down to 8 by game time.
No.
In the only standings that matter, the BCS standings, Florida was 4th, behind us Tx and Oklahoma
NO.
“NEW YORK — For the second straight season the Southeastern Conference championship game will be a No. 1 vs. No. 2 matchup.
Again, it’ll be Florida against Alabama, but this time the Gators will be top-ranked."
Per ESPN. Suck on it.
You both are right.
…..it was 1 vs. 2 in the AP and 1 vs. 4 in the BCS. Can’t we all just get along?
You just proved my point
Per ESPN, part of the media/AP. The AP poll is no longer relevant. It’s national championship means as much as the podunk register’s national championship.
I like our chances...
I agree with those of you who have mentioned this team being very hungry. They are out to prove a point to everyone this year and this will be their opportunity. I think it’s funny how a team like the Indianapolis Colts can come from behind to win a couple of games and everyone in the media talks about what a great team they are and how they just always find a way to win…yet when the college folks start talking about Bama some of them make it sound like they’re not quite as good as Florida because they’ve barely squeeked by in a couple of games this year. I think the Iron Bowl win did more for the confidence of this football team than any game they’ve played all year and couldn’t have come at a better time. Bama’s been putting pressure on QB’s all year and if they can get to Tebow and disrupt him early and often I think Bama could shock the nation by not only winning the game but doing so in convincing fashion…but hey I am a little biased…lol…
