Keenan Allen Committing?

A quick recruiting blurb...

Keenan Allen will be coming to Tuscaloosa this weekend for a visit. He has been widely expected to ultimately sign with the Tide for a while now, but for whatever reason the clear general consensus out there right now is that he will commit to 'Bama this weekend. Perhaps it is all smoke, but Allen definitely will be in town this weekend, and everyone is seemingly thinking he'll commit to the Tide.

Hopefully it works out this weekend because Allen is an elite player. Both Rivals and Scout have him as a five-star prospect, and he would arguably be our biggest commitment to date. As of this writing, Rivals has him as the #9 player in the country.

And as a closing note, he's an athlete who could play either side of the ball, but we are recruiting him at wide receiver right now.

The atomsphere in BDS has been great this year

I think it has helped the team, but if I was a recruit that atmosphere would sell me. Of course SEC championships are even more persuasive.

I wasn’t there, but it sounded awesome on TV. I found myself wondering what top-notch, long-shot recruits we might have gotten to come for a visit. I could see that game opening someones eyes to what it’s like to play your home games at Bryant-Denny and move us from the also in consideration list to the leader spot in a hurry.

Imagine how things will sound when the stadium is complete.
