its like that psychological thing that OTS potsed a while ago about the field goals. the more passes you miss, the smaller the window is percieved real time teh next itme the QB tries to make a pass. so hit him with the high percentage passes and open taht mental window up as you expand to the deep ball

You can forget that...
Regardless of how this game plays out, unless our offense gets a LOT better ASAP, we’re going to lose soon regardless. If your goal is winning the SEC championship or the national championship, there is just no realistic way that is happening without significant improvements on the offensive side of the ball.
It’s just a matter of time, really. We may lose in two hours, two weeks, in Atlanta, or whenever, but rest assured it will happen at some point. Unless we really improve offensively, it’s a question of when, not if.

I work with these guys
who hate Alabama. I’m not even cocky about it. I don’t say shit. But they can tell how much it means to me because I’m really focused on our games and I refuse to watch with them at a sportsbar. Why would i watch with them? I know they’ll just give me crap for four quarters, regardless, because they don’t care either way.
The other thing about these guys is that they just sort of root for whoever, with no steady loyalty. It’s all in fun to them. Again, I don’t say anything, but they can tell how seriously I take Bama’s season so they try to put Bama down every chance they can.
Anyway, I’ve been getting text messages most of the day that were similar to the comments I’ve received all week. Stuff about LSU’s athleticism being superior to ours, stuff about LSU having the fastest defense in CFB.
That’s all fine and dandy, but the problem I have is that now that Alabama has defeated LSU these same guys have stopped texting and when I see them on Monday I highly doubt they’ll say anything.
I don’t know what it is about Alabama football, but casual fans hate it. I’m tempted to text one of the guys “We just put 450 on the fastest defense in CFB.”

Our old UPS driver was one of those Auburn fans...
….that had to start every conversation with some knock on Alabama. If both Alabama and Auburn won on the same weekend, he would still talk a bunch of shit about Alabama on Monday (refs gave ‘em the game, etc), but if Auburn lost (no matter what Bama did that weekend) you wouldn’t hear word one out of him about football until Friday. Not once in the seven or eight years he delivered to us did I mention and Auburn loss to him. Rather, it was more amusing to just sit and watch him squirm waiting on it. I’d take that approach; just say nothing, and know it’s killing them that they can’t say anything.
