Not only did LSU lose out on its chance at a national title, but the team may have lost its star running back, at least for a little while.
A source close to the team told WDSU sports anchor Keli Fulton that starting running back Charles Scott has a broken collarbone.
WDSU NBC (New Orleans): LSU Back Has Broken Collarbone
No real shock here given the way that it looked on the field, but nevertheless you hate to hear this one for Scott. He's had a rough year due to little fault of his own, but he played a fine game yesterday and gave us a lot of problems. You hate to say it, but given the nature of his injury his collegiate career is probably over. At least with his talent he'll play at the next level and get paid lots of money to do so, so best wishes to him.

That sucks for Scott
It wasn’t even a particularly violent landing, especially given how nasty that game was.

I separated my shoulder on something like that. Hurt like hell!
yet another reason
why the so-called “blown interception” wouldn’t have mattered. (it took us a while) but we finally figured out that Lee was in at QB, so all LSU could do would be run, and without Scott, they had no chance.
welcome to the SEC kiffykins...
Please stand up if you can honsetly say your team has never benefited from a bad call.....
I think everyone is still sitting.
I wish it would've been overturned...
…so Jarret Lee could have thrown a touchdown to Mark Barron.
Go home loser.
