Tickets to Pasadena or other bowl game
I am excited about Bama having a great shot now at playing for the NCG. So I was wanting to post on here if anyone has tickets or will get tickets and they would like to sell them at a reasonable price, plus I am a die hard Bama fan, would you please let me know how much you would like to sell them for. IF we don't go to that game whatever bowl game we go to you can still send me offers for tickets. Just trying to get a jump on things. RTR

Good luck with that!
We’ve been keeping an eye on stub hub….cheapest tics in Pasadena were $605/per upper level end zone. We may jump on ‘em anyway. Hells bells my son’s college tuition pales in comparison. :-)

My dad got tickets this weekend.
Apparently you have to buy Rose Bowl and BCS Championship tickets together.

yep
they also have non refundable “voucher” system, but since we’re shoe-ins now, that probably wont save you any money at all, just cost you extra cash for the right to pay out the ass for a seat.

for 125 dollars a seat, right now (it's kinda like ebay)
you can purchase the right to buy tickets should Bama be in the title game, Bama not in it? you forfeit the money. you opt not to buy them anyway? you forfeit the money.
by my assessment it’s probably best to just buy some seats outright from the Rose Bowl Box Office if you still can.

and on further inspection this whole thing looks like a clusterfuck
if you buy vouchers now, you lock in seats at 400 bucks a pop plus ticketmaster fees. if you dont, you risk the uncertainty of the open secondary-market, face value will be 275 for just about all tickets on the market. actual cost to buyers at least 300 or higher.
i know last year they were selling fiesta bowl tickets (150 face value) for 10 dollars right before kickoff, but i know the title game will be different. Tickets were going for twice face value at the title game between florida and OSU in 06… if it’s us vs texas you have to assume there’s going to eb astronomical demand for tickets, but a saving grace is that the rose bowl seats 100,000 people (and not a bad view in the house IRRC)…. it’s pretty daunting looking at it right now. i see there is an open to the public sale at 8 am PST on dec 15th. that looks to be the only other way of getting tickets
Ticketmaster will offer a limited amount of 2010 Citi BCS National Championship Game tickets for sale via website and phone on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at 8 a.m. PST. Tickets may be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com or via phone at (213) 365-3675. There is a maximum of two tickets per call and maximum of four tickets per person. Single tickets are available. The price will be $275 per ticket plus Ticketmaster handling fees.

either way
i’ll be inside the stadium or just outside watching on one of the big screens nearby (they better do something like that, the fiesta bowl has a really nice setup across the street @ westgate) because I have a place to stay in LA, the time off of work if i need it, and a car that will get me there n back.

just got off th ephoen with a rep from the rose bowl office
only 2,500 tickets will be offered to the public on dec 15th at 8 am PST. any remaining seats (after the voucher process has been completed) are returned to the respective schools to be sold according to each schools method of choosing (i’m guessing that means boosters then TidePride members, and that would swallow them all).
Also according to the folks i spoke to, the Rose Bowl is not equipped to host on-site or adjacent fan celebration, so no 20 dollar admission to watch the game on big screens with thousands of other fans like @ the fiesta. Any big game related gathering other than the game itself, would be up to the individual schools to organize. (thats where our Alumni Club comes into play. I imagine it’ll be like what they did in atlanta, only much bigger. and i also presume will need to be organized within 1 month so it may also be a giant clusterf-ck)

Tickets
I went to the rose bowl website and they have a package deal that includes your hotel accommodations and tickets to the game plus other cool stuff but my problem is the tickets. Everything else I can handle i.e. hotel, rental car, airfare, food, etc. Any thoughts?

Don't hold your breath on the economy...
…affecting BAMA fans if we make the NC. Some might think about selling their first born(or something equally important) if they had to.

Like their signed Michael Moore print?
listed at #893 of 1,000? That’s worth about a second born, at least!
