Robby Green...

I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned that Robby Green- a guy that was basically bad mouthed by LSU fans during his recruitment- hit the last nail in the coffin for LSU's chances at the game with that interception off of Jarrett Lee. I'm sure he got some personal satisfaction from that.

He's really been stepping up and making some great plays for us this year, and will hopefully continue to do so. Roll Tide RG!

Green has done a fine job this year...

… and he looks to have a very bright future at Alabama. He is playing a ton of meaningful snaps — and playing them well — on an elite defense as a freshman, and that almost always portends big things for later in your career. He’ll be a full-time starter next year, and should be one of the best safeties in the SEC.

As for the LSU fans who were ragging him for a while, it was really little more than sour grapes. For months and months they bragged about how good of a prospect he was, how special the state of Louisiana was at turning out such high-end talent, and how great of a player he was going to be for them. And then it looks like he might go to ‘Bama, and suddenly he’s too small, too slow, and really just not worth a shit as a player. Again, it was really sour grapes all along.

And if the LSU coaching staff really didn’t want him, then that’s their own problem for having such piss poor evaluation. If they can find a scholarship for Brandon Taylor, they ought to be able to find one for Robby Green, and I’ll tell you this much… with Green covering that screen to Julio, it’s not a 73-yard touchdown pass.

Didn’t know they had bad-mouthed him like that. Good for him.

LSU and Auburn fans...

….will call any player the greatest at their position in a generation so long as they think they will land him, and as soon as he commits to someone else they have a laundry list of reasons why they don’t want him. It’s, as they say in Canada, le pathetic.

I actually wish he

hadn’t made the INT. It was 4th down and that cost us about 20 yards of field position…

Well since all

we did was run the clock out it was a non issue. Normally you would want the pass to go incomplete. However, a DB can’t be sure the ball will go incomplete. After all there could always be a receiver in the area he can not see so he has to catch that ball and insure the turnover rather than letting it go because he “thinks” it is going to be incomplete.

Furthermore, interceptions can actually lead to future interceptions as sometimes a guy just needs to break through and get a pick. This was Greens 1st int I believe and watch he will now get another this season. But you have to breqak through first.

I hate the NCAA more than UT & AU combined. At least with UT & AU you got a fighting chance.

Disagree...

Game was over with an interception. If you knock it down or drop it, who knows an LSU guy might somehow get his hands on it and regain possession with a new set of downs?
