Alabama and Florida Scouting Reports
I don't think this coach was very impressed with us, but whatever.

Here are the gems:
You have to make [Greg] McElroy beat you. I don’t think he’s a very good quarterback. He gave us plenty of opportunities when we played them to keep us in the game, throwing balls right to us and things like that. If you can stop the run, I think you got them because he isn’t going to win a game for you.
I thought their line was big and physical – and they did a great job of holding against us.
Their weakness might be their secondary. They lost some guys who were chemistry guys in the back end.
MATRIX: Bennett, I thought you were--
BENNETT: Dead? You thought wrong. Ever since you had me thrown out of the unit, I've been waiting to pay you back. Do you know what today is, Matrix? Payday.
I hate when you beat me to a post...
but anyway, what I noticed about it was that it was a critique, hence the negative overtones. This goes without noting the ultra-competitive spirit of coaches. I was a little skeptical at first until I read the report on UF and UT and they were just as bad, if not worse. What cracks my shit up is that the interviewee in each scouting report is an un-named assistant coach that faced the team he is scouting, yet each one negatively criticized and downplayed every facet of each team scouted…I just find it funny that they were the ones at least partly responsible for defeating said team and in each case…….FAIL!
Yeah,
it’s obvious that the un-named coach’s team lost to both Alabama and Florida, and it’s clear that he’s probably a little pissed because he thought his team should have beaten us. The coach has to be a defensive coach. His insights show a defensive mentality. He criticizes McElroy, downplays Julio’s speed, and accuses our offensive line of holding well. He seems to appreciate our defense.
It’s pretty good for a scouting report even though it seems a little bitter.
McElroy isn’t a superstar, but in comparison to other quarterbacks in the SEC, he’s only behind Tebow and Mallet. Who else was better? Jefferson? Garcia? Crompton? Snead? McElroy isn’t awesome, but he’s not bad.
Methinks a South Carolina assistant coach gave this scouting report.

definitely a defensive coach
he references our O-line aggrssive enough to be D-linemen wearing #‘s in the 70’s, which tells me he thinks O-linemen are a bunch of p’s. -spoken only like a true defensive coach would.
I thought he was maybe a Col. Reb at first, but quickly realized they didn’t play UGA – and speaking of UGA, I think he wants to have AJ Green’s babies.
im thinking its
LSU…Say a guy who came from UT and knows the east pretty well…
"The goal is to be a champion," Saban said. "I didn’t say to win a championship. I just said be a champion. That’s our goal here. That’s what we want to do."- Nick Saban
yeeaah
Julio is aggressive, but he can’t take a 2-yard play and turn it into an 80-yard play.
So apparently it wasn’t an assistant from Tennessee
I started thinking a Tennessee assistant, since they almost beat us and did have success slowing (but not stopping) the Gators. But yeah, with that bitter tone, I bet this dude is a walking ray of sunshine you can spot from a mile away.
