That administration

just gained a lot of respect from me. They manned up and did what needed to be done.

right on!

He is a great player no doubt

I think Florida is probably deep enough for it not to be a huge factor, but you have to think that there will be a step down between Dunlap and the next guy……..

remember last year

when we lost Johnson in the Sugar Bowl because of something stupid, lets hope that this loss is detrimental in the beat down of the Gators this weekend! RTR!

I don’t know why I said Johnson..thanks for the correction

by Tadpol on Dec 1, 2009 6:32 PM CST reply actions

prob b/c Johnson

went out with a knee injury in the first series of that game, putting us down 2 starters

This was also Andre's fault.

Andre plays, MJ isn’t at tackle, and his knee doesn’t get hurt.

DONT QUESTION IT

Losing Andre Smith before the game and Johnson in game

hurt, but losing defensive coordinator Kevin “Lexington” Steele to Clemson certainly didn’t help either.

I'd say...

…losing Johnson in game was the biggest blow.

I have to admit

I’m surprised that Urban or the AD or someone had the guts to do the right thing.

Nevertheless, UF is not thin at this position by any means. In fact, sometimes this kind of move can rally a team. So, I’m thinking as far as advantage Bama it is a wash.

I hate the NCAA more than UT & AU combined. At least with UT & AU you got a fighting chance.

William Green

is itching to play. Hope the kid realizes that we didn’t recruit him because he’s a 4-3 end.

over all our depth is hurt more than anything else, and carlos is 6'6'' tall and is a great pass blocker

our #2 DE justin tratteau is just as good, maybe has a better motor (carlos was bad about taking plays off) but our #3 DT will be in the rotation at DE now with tratteau. it’s tough to say right now but UF’s DL should be ok. we’ll see on saturday

After the Spikes fiasco . .

. . . there’s no way that they were going to let this one go unpunished.

The florida blogs are abuz

They say there was really no choice; UF’s policy isn’t only suspension from the team, but DUI is grounds for getting kicked out of school. They set the precedent on previous student athletes and have stuck by it.

agreed

Johnson and Smith hurt us big time in those games….with all due respect to FL it will be a game like last year…if we can capitalize on our mistakes and not get called for bogus penalties we can win this game but I for once would love to see us start the game with something other than a punt. If we are going to stun FL then we need to come out like Auburn did against us and play excellent defense; mainly our secondary! FL is a good team, but can be beat. Review the Ark game, MSU game and LSU game and mix in some defensive blitzing schemes while spying tebow with McClain, we could have a nice little upset. But or offense has to protect McElroy so he can hit Jones, Maze and Peek and open lanes for Ingram and Ricardson to run. I think that Maze could have an explosive game, kinda like when we used him against LSU and MSU.

i am really suprised

I thought the displinary tyrant would have sat him out of the warm ups.

What can I say?

I am so broken hearted. Someone please go down to Toomer’s Corner and get me a tissue.
The only thing that could make it worse would be if Spike and Tebow went down too. And the whole team got food poisoning, and Urban Meyer bumped his head beofre the game and forgot how to coach. Yeah, that would break my heart.
