UPDATED!!!! Championship buttons...
UPDATED....I have chosen a few to put into a poll to see what you guys think as a group. I have to say, I am thoroughly impressed! My boss is an OU graduate, so I asked for him to contribute some as well. His are mostly just things against Texas, whereas I was thinking of something that's more FOR Alabama AND AGAINST Texas, if you know what I mean. So, no matter whether you submitted or not...please vote on the one that you think would be best for a 6" button. We will probably make signs that say some of the other suggestions! Thank you for your hard work!
A popular thing at games is to wear stickers and buttons in support of your team. You'll see sorority girls with them on that say "KD says Roll Tide" and also big red buttons that just scream ROLL TIDE at anyone who reads it. I found an awesome website where you can design your own button and make it just about any size that you want. So, I'm going to make one for me and all of my friends (or really, anyone who wants one and is willing to pay $6); however, I'm having a hard time coming up with something witty or clever to put on the button. So far, all I have is "Our TUSKS are bigger than your HORNS". So, here I put it to the greatest 'Bama fans there are to come up with something clever for my button. My mom, sister, and I will all be in Pasadena wearing them proudly, so it better be good! Thanks for your help!
FanPosts are just that; posts created by the fans. They are in no way indicative of the opinions of SBN and the authors of Roll Bama Roll.

we have auburn aint shit and the ever classic Aubs eat boogers. How about “Pluck n Grits give the horns fits” They don’t have grits in California but any bama fan should love the food/ fight song reference. I do have to give my buddy “darby up the middle” props we were talking about your name at work this morning. and he said it would be cool if he was pluck n grits.

Butt-baby… it’s Colt outside. Have McCoy whispering this through Shipley’s keyhole
Wrong horns… show some people in Texas gear holding brass instruments.
Tong horns…. just superimpose some grilling tongs on the Texas logo.
Book’em…. this would involve getting some Texas players arrested, but once thats done you just put some bars over their faces and this phrase.
Rolando McDonald…. just Rolando in a Ronald McDonald costume… eating burgers with the Texas logo on the wrapper.
Wook’em…. something with Chewbacca… I’m a big picture guy
Some ideas....
- Greg McElroy-The Best QB in Texas
- 13=Bad Luck for Texas
- Nick Saban has (Crystal) balls
- Photoshop a picture of Cody & McClain dressed as Leatherface with their numbers in blood on their aprons……underneath the pic, the caption could say “Texas Chainsaw Massacre – The Final Chapter”.
There is a good ‘ole boy on YouTube who goes by CowboyinTN1979, and is a beer guzzlin’, chain smokin’ Bama fan living in Tennessee. He seems to have become somewhat of a cult figure among Tide fans, and he had buttons printed up that say “ROLL TIDE ON THAT ASS”……..just a thought.

I had taken the script A
and lowered the opacity so it was very light and put it behind just the word finish and it looked awesome, but I didn’t think I should use a trademarked emblem on it. Any other thoughts on this one since it seemed to have gotten the most votes?
by BamaGirlinDallas on Dec 15, 2009 1:37 AM CST up reply actions
EXCELLENT WORK BGIV,
i really like them all with FINISH being my favorite and ANOTHER TEAM IN ORANGE running a very close second. what do you think about shortening ‘undefeated season’ to ‘13-0’, and ‘win SECCG’ to ‘SECCG champs’ just to help with the layout of the small to large space of the top of the button to the middle. maybe FINISH (so that it could be the BIGGEST)should be in the middle with ‘heisman trophy’ underneath and i also think we need something about 2009 National Champions (or 2009 BCS champs) maybe under the that with maybe no check or a ? or a box to put a check in? if we do a box, should the other checks be a box with a check?
thanks again for working so hard on this and please don’t take offense at my suggestions. you are really helping us pull this together – i’m paying for yours when they get finished!
"You have to create 6 seconds of hell each play..."
Coach Nick Saban
No offense taken at all...
I love the suggestions. That is what I was looking for. It just didn’t look like I wanted it to and it was late (my time)when I finished them and I was spent from shopping at the mall. I like 13-0 and SEC Champs. Duh! Why didn’t I think of that?!?
I think the box left unchecked for BCS Champs is great too. I will see what options (if any) there is for editing them in Photobucket where I have them posted since I work in a medical office and have no logical reason I can give for downloading a free trial of PSE onto my computer at work. If not, then I will fix it tonight when I get home. Thanks for the ideas! I knew someone would come through and help me figure out what to do with it!
by BamaGirlinDallas on Dec 15, 2009 10:44 AM CST up reply actions
Ok, so there are no options
in Photobucket to edit it like I need to. Since I have always wanted to anyway, I am going to download a trial of PSE onto a spare computer here at work during my lunch and see I can make those changes.
By the way LittleSis, are you going to the NCG? I would love to meet up with you and anyone else from here while there. Living out here in Vegas, I miss being around like minded football people.

now we just have to figure out how to identify ourselves as the RBR crowd!
"You have to create 6 seconds of hell each play..."
Coach Nick Saban
If we each wore one of these buttons
we would definately know each other. Maybe I should add a RBR kind of in the bottoom corner of the button…
by BamaGirlinDallas on Dec 15, 2009 4:35 PM CST up reply actions
Button Maker!
Ok, so I am uploading your images to the button making website to get an idea of how easy it is before I make the order. It’s actually better if you can take the Crimson border off of each image. When it loads the image on the button some of the Crimson is there and some isn’t.
I tried to see if there was a good program on the website for me to put boxes around the checks for the FINISH button…but there isn’t, so whatever you come up with will be great…I liked the suggestions that LittleSis made as well!
I think that we are going to split our order and have half “FINISH” buttons and half “Tusks/Horns” buttons. THANK YOU so much for all of your hard work!! I’m going to place the order as soon as you’ve uploaded your new creations!! If you have any questions, my e-mail is on my profile!
"That's the process: Let's think about what we can do today, the task at hand."
-Coach Nick Saban
I will upload the new ones
later on tonight. My son has a choir performance at 6:00 (8:00 your time) so I will do them when I get home from that and I will save them with both a transparent and crimson background. I will post them on here with the crimson one so that everyone can see the round shape and then if all is well, I can email them to you with the transparent.
I think that I can do the checkmark boxes pretty easily with my PSE. I am going to toy with adding just simply RBR on them. That will have dual meaning…

Ok, here they are...
I had tried a faded script A on “Finish” the other night and I thought I’d post it on here for you to see. I think it looks really cool but didn’t want to get in trouble using the script A and all…but it just looks so cool that I couldn’t resist! I can pull it down if need be. And I have the one without it on here as well. I posted them all without the circle dictating the button shape so the red background doesn’t come through.

by BamaGirlinDallas on Dec 16, 2009 12:57 AM CST reply actions
I really like the first one.
I don’t think there would be any problems using the script A as long as you’re not selling them for profit. But you you may wanna ask a lawyer that has any background in copyright infringement.

I thought the script A just made it and I’m like you since we are not selling them for profit, I think we are ok.
