UPDATED!!!! Championship buttons...

UPDATED....I have chosen a few to put into a poll to see what you guys think as a group. I have to say, I am thoroughly impressed! My boss is an OU graduate, so I asked for him to contribute some as well. His are mostly just things against Texas, whereas I was thinking of something that's more FOR Alabama AND AGAINST Texas, if you know what I mean. So, no matter whether you submitted or not...please vote on the one that you think would be best for a 6" button. We will probably make signs that say some of the other suggestions! Thank you for your hard work!

A popular thing at games is to wear stickers and buttons in support of your team. You'll see sorority girls with them on that say "KD says Roll Tide" and also big red buttons that just scream ROLL TIDE at anyone who reads it. I found an awesome website where you can design your own button and make it just about any size that you want. So, I'm going to make one for me and all of my friends (or really, anyone who wants one and is willing to pay $6); however, I'm having a hard time coming up with something witty or clever to put on the button. So far, all I have is "Our TUSKS are bigger than your HORNS". So, here I put it to the greatest 'Bama fans there are to come up with something clever for my button. My mom, sister, and I will all be in Pasadena wearing them proudly, so it better be good! Thanks for your help!

by BamaGirlinDallas on Dec 15, 2009 1:37 AM CST up reply actions

EXCELLENT WORK BGIV,

i really like them all with FINISH being my favorite and ANOTHER TEAM IN ORANGE running a very close second. what do you think about shortening ‘undefeated season’ to ‘13-0’, and ‘win SECCG’ to ‘SECCG champs’ just to help with the layout of the small to large space of the top of the button to the middle. maybe FINISH (so that it could be the BIGGEST)should be in the middle with ‘heisman trophy’ underneath and i also think we need something about 2009 National Champions (or 2009 BCS champs) maybe under the that with maybe no check or a ? or a box to put a check in? if we do a box, should the other checks be a box with a check?

thanks again for working so hard on this and please don’t take offense at my suggestions. you are really helping us pull this together – i’m paying for yours when they get finished!

No offense taken at all...

I love the suggestions. That is what I was looking for. It just didn’t look like I wanted it to and it was late (my time)when I finished them and I was spent from shopping at the mall. I like 13-0 and SEC Champs. Duh! Why didn’t I think of that?!?

I think the box left unchecked for BCS Champs is great too. I will see what options (if any) there is for editing them in Photobucket where I have them posted since I work in a medical office and have no logical reason I can give for downloading a free trial of PSE onto my computer at work. If not, then I will fix it tonight when I get home. Thanks for the ideas! I knew someone would come through and help me figure out what to do with it!

by BamaGirlinDallas on Dec 15, 2009 10:44 AM CST up reply actions

Ok, so there are no options

in Photobucket to edit it like I need to. Since I have always wanted to anyway, I am going to download a trial of PSE onto a spare computer here at work during my lunch and see I can make those changes.

by BamaGirlinDallas on Dec 15, 2009 4:35 PM CST up reply actions

Button Maker!

Ok, so I am uploading your images to the button making website to get an idea of how easy it is before I make the order. It’s actually better if you can take the Crimson border off of each image. When it loads the image on the button some of the Crimson is there and some isn’t.

I tried to see if there was a good program on the website for me to put boxes around the checks for the FINISH button…but there isn’t, so whatever you come up with will be great…I liked the suggestions that LittleSis made as well!

I think that we are going to split our order and have half “FINISH” buttons and half “Tusks/Horns” buttons. THANK YOU so much for all of your hard work!! I’m going to place the order as soon as you’ve uploaded your new creations!! If you have any questions, my e-mail is on my profile!

I will post them on here with the crimson one so that everyone can see the round shape and then if all is well, I can email them to you with the transparent.

During my discussions with Kleph concerning the historical Rose Bowl games, I found this little gem, which inspired the button-worthy slogan:

Alabama Football: Making His Ass Cry Since 1927
